We had a wonderful stay. The house has a very spacious living area which was perfect for playing games and socializing. The kitchen was a good size for cooking as well.
The layout of the house was perfect! Open and airy common rooms/deck, plenty of space. Awesome way to celebrate turning 40 surrounded by family that are friends and friends that are family!
We had a fabulous time in Narragansett! The house was perfect for us and our adult children and grandchildren! The yard was the perfect size for playing, the outdoor shower was awesome, and the open concept downstairs floor plan allowed us to be together while meals were being prepared. Loved our time in Narragansett!
5 bedrooms all with good window air conditioners.
Spacious dining room and tv area. Great back deck with outdoor shower. 10 minute walk to beach. it didn’t hurt that we had fabulous weather all week!
My family and I had a great stay at this home. It was clean and well appointed. We have only 2 suggestions for the property; it was a hot and humid week so ACs would have been nice at least in the bedrooms and a reminder before our stay that linens are not provided because people don't always go back and
read the listing..thanks for opening your home to our family!
We really enjoyed the house. We had 10 people and it was very comfortable. It is a very short walk to Scarborough beach and a short drive to other sites and beaches. The neighborhood is quiet, quaint and flat – making family bike rides and walks very easy. The backyard is level and sufficient for games and relaxing. To make it a perfect house, it would need one more bathroom but that probably isn’t going to happen. It can use a little refresh - repaint the inside, new flooring in the living/kitchen area, repair the splintery deck and fix the drainage, mildew and moldy smell from the outside shower. Some conveniences such as a dish drain board for hand washed dishes reducing clutter on the counter and some basic toiletries like bar soap, shampoo and bug repellent would be helpful. The owner was very responsive to all our questions with clear and complete answers. All in all, it was a good place to spend 2 weeks with the family.
We recently had an amazingly peaceful and relaxing week at 24 Bristol in Narragansett Check in was easy. House was clean and kitchen had many amenities …there were plenty of coffee mugs ,dishes , bowls , glasses and silverware. Many spices , Tupperware etc Bedrooms were cozy with good window unit AC and ceiling fans There was a nice big family room adjoining the dining area , which had a table that could seat 10.The deck and big level back yard were great area to relax and play games. Outdoor shower with hot water was wonderful after day at the beach There was a nice beach wagon plus another beach cart to take down to beach and plenty of beach toys and chairs The walk to the beach was about 10-12 minutes and the private end of Scarborough beach was wonderful No passes needed and it was easy to unload a carful if walking was a problem Rebecca was easy to communicate with and very quick to respond. She even drove down to unlock us after we inadvertently locked ourselves out one afternoon!Overall a great stay and hoping to return.
My brother and his family joined us for a full week. The 9 of us were comfortable and enjoyed the openness of the living space and the large deck. Beach was close enough to walk and drive to to drop off all of our beach gear. This is our 2nd year in this home and would recommend as a great home for families.
Had a very nice week at this beach house. It was a 10 minute walk to the beach, and there was a playground right around the corner. The house was equipped with everything we needed. The refrigerator could use some fixing (freezer pops open when closing the door to the refrigerator), and the floors turned out to be not as clean as they looked (they were swept, but could use a good washing). Other than that, everything was very nice. Would stay here again.
Perfect beach house that is very well appointed for a family vacation. Great location and very responsive and caring host. We hope to be back next year.
We had a wonderful time on our Narragansett vacation. The rental was clean, as described and very accommodating. The renter was available for questions throughout the whole process. We would definitely stay again.
Our family of 9 truly enjoyed this beautiful home. The weather was not the best but it didn't put a damper on our week. We spent a lot of time indoors with plenty of space for all of us to make memories in the open concept living and dining area. Rebecca the owner was very responsive and attentive. Would absolutely stay here again!
The house was a nice fit for our group and we appreciated the array of dishes and spices in the kitchen and layout of the family room. The main concern we had with the house was that it smelt very musty. This was especially bad on the first day (the windows were almost all open and it was raining outside), but it persisted the entire week.
Communication from the owner was very prompt and polite and I really appreciate that. I would be happy to rent from Rebecca again, but probably not at this location. The proximity to the beach was nice (10 minute walk) and the house had beach chairs and a wagon that made it easy to get down to the beach.
Great location. Accommodating host. Enjoyed the outdoor shower and the deck, along with the wildlife in the backyard (bunnies, groundhog, and a bird family in a hole in the wall). Had a few issues with some things in the house (very clogged vacuum cleaner spitting out more than it was cleaning up and a bad switch in the kitchen that left us with poor lighting). These problems were quickly addressed by the owner who sent us a new vacuum cleaner and an electrician to install a new switch. Thanks Rebecca! Very nice neighborhood , safe for kids for walking and bike riding. Had a very enjoyable week.
It was a beautiful poperty in a beautiful area.... Ton of fun!
Rebecca was awesome very responsive and made a noticeable effort to make sure my family and I were happy with her home and aware of fun things to do in the area.
We would definitely rent this property again. It was clean and well maintained and had everything we could possibly need for our stay. The kids loved being able to ride their bikes around the neighborhood and having the beach so close made it easy for us to take advantage or the beautiful weather we had all week!

About the host
Hosted by Rebecca
Our family is from northern Rhode Island. My Mom and Dad own the house, and I, Rebecca, manage it for them. I have 2 children who are growing up in the house each summer! We try to leave amenities for families with small children, to make it easy for everyone.
Why they chose this property
Our family has always loved Narragansett area. My Dad went to URI and worked in the Wakefield area. As a family, we always spend a lot of our summers here and when we found the perfect house we made it our own!
What makes this property unique
We fell in love with this house for 4 reasons: The first is the proximity to the beach - a 5min walk to the quieter end of Scarborough. The second is the neighborhood, which has wide streets and a well maintained playground. The third is the open floor plan with cathedral ceilings for entertaining! And finally the large yard to play with the kids.
