The property was very clean and felt like home as soon as we walked through the door. Neighborhood was mostly quiet and close to the highway so it made for easy access to the property and beyond. Highly recommend staying here
We loved this vintage 50's cottage home! The location was perfect, close to everything in WTX. Special touches w vintage charm, books, art & the keeping of many historical features. Absolutely gorgeous! The
Fantastic stay! The house felt cozy and safe. It was extraordinarily clean. We’ll certainly book again on our next trip. It’s also centrally located so you’re a short drive from a major grocery store and great shopping.
This is a charming house filled with books. The two bedrooms and one bath is more than enough to accommodate four adults. It includes all the amenities that you will need. The host is very engaging and responds quickly to your questions. If we ever make it down this way again, we will definitely stay here again.
This cottage is just perfect! So clean, beautifully decorated, and conveniently located. It worked so well for the four of us. We definitely would stay here again and again!
Such a nice cozy place to stay in a quite neighborhood five minutes from Getzebdaner Memorial Park where we have come the last 9 years for C10 in the park. Very convenient access and great communication with the host.
This property was clean, stocked well with the things you need, such as kitchen appliances and equipment, plenty of towels and wash cloths. The only drawback was the mattresses on beds were uncomfortable and the thermostat kept changing temperature to some kind of automated program already installed. Overall we were pleased with the home.
Our little house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. It was in a quiet, conveniently located neighborhood. The decor was so cute and eclectic! Very comfortable beds!!
We highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again.
My daughter and family live in Waxahatchie and this home is 4 minutes from her home. We had a great week visiting and then going home to our quiet vrbo! It was quite, clean, and perfect for us.
I loved all the books!
Thank you!
My wife and I had an great stay at this charming house in Waxahachie! Everything was exactly as described and Katherine the host was great to work with. She made the stay easy and very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend this charming house!
Thank You
Wonderful cottage! I rented it for a girlfriend getaway. There was plenty of room to visit, work on a project, yet have separate space to relax. Excellent location in a quiet neighborhood. It’s easy to get to downtown and great restaurants. Great host with excellent communication!
My family stayed in this cozy, eclecticly decorated, home for a weekend. It had absolutely everything we needed and was very clean. Quick access to grocery, restaurants, shops, etc. I would defintely rent again. This home is in an older neighborhood with small homes, but the surrounding area is nice. My one and only very minor complaint was with the electrical outlets. Our three-prong cords did not work due to this being an older home with two-prong outlets. I would suggest bringing an outlet adaptors. Other than that, everything was fantastic!!
I came here for TX2K and I could not be happier with this location and the property. It was exactly what I needed. Garage allows you to keep your vehicle clean and safe. Huge backyard for playing catch or a quiet dinner outside. Full kitchen with dishes and silverware, stove, over and microwave. One small TV but like I said, I was here for racing, so I didn’t need all the amenities I would if I were taking a vacation. I can’t say enough about the location. It’s near everything in town and has easy access to all parts of the small city. I’ll be back each year as long as TX2K is here!!
I had a wonderful stay. This is the second time I rented this house. Both times were great. Wonderful neighborhood and beautiful house and yard. I had everything I needed. Thanks again!

Cute house in nice neighborhood close to downtown and eating places. Just as described. Nice large backyard. Everything very neat and clean and lots of extras included for your convenience in bath and kitchen.
We traveled to Waxahachie for a family wedding and throughly enjoyed our time in our VRBO home away from home. Katherine, the owner, was awesome and communicated throughout the process. The home was just as described m filled with charm and personality. The backyard is beautiful as well as the home. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the extras provided such as toiletries and towels. We would not hesitate to reach out again and stay if the home was available.

About the host
Your host
I'm a former magazine editor who worked in New York for design publications such as Metropolitan Home and Martha Stewart Living. After being obsessed with home decor for years, I decided opening up a VRBO would be the perfect way to address my desire to decorate. It's been such a joy working on this sweet, cheerful house, and I can't wait to share it with my guests. I'm a native Texan and have lived in Waxahachie for over 10 years now. It is a truly special place with loads of amazing restaurants and shops. But truly, it's the people of Waxahachie that make it a real jewel.
Why they chose this property
Built in 1950, this house has amazing bones only found in older homes. Of all the things I love about it, one of my favorites is the four over four windows that allow for each room to be flooded with natural light at different times of the day. (There are shades and/or curtains in each bedroom in case you want to sleep in!) Each room features an eclectic mix of styles and furnishings from England, Italy, France, Africa and America.
Because it's Texas, keeping cool is essential during the summer months. The home has a brand new central air conditioning system. In addition, the living room and each bedroom have ceiling fans, so you'll always have a cool place to come home to when it's sizzling.
What makes this property unique
This house is within walking distance to Little Creek Trail and Chapman Park, a perfect bonus if you have children. In addition, I've designed a small kids' closet in the hallway, so be sure and open up all of the doors to see what's inside!
Another small hall closet has been converted into a makeshift makeup area with a mirror and shelving so everyone has room to get ready.
