Easy Peasy: At Ease

Great four bedroom home, open kitchen and floor plan, two decks, and awesome access to beach! Easy communication, check-in/out, etc. Not a hiccup to speak of.

At Ease

This property is a wonderful home. We were very happy with our stay. The communication with the management company was a breeze. A few small cleaning and maintenance issue. I communicated directly with the management company, so they are not worth mentioning here. The street the house is on, has the friendliness residents in the OBX. We will return.

Relaxing stay just steps from the beach

We really enjoyed this rental. Plenty of space, comfortable beds, very close to the beach for our daily walks, good kitchen, distant water views, big table for gatherings, comfortable living room. Only complaint is that is was frustrating not to have screens on some windows, especially in bedrooms. Wanted to sleep to the sound of surf. Consider getting screens for at least the bedroom windows and one in the common area - like the deck door. Otherwise, great place!

Pest control in house without permission or notification

Owner brought pest control into the house without notifying us or asking for permission. When we returned from the beach pest control was in the house walking through our rooms and personal property spraying the house with pesticides. We were really concerned as we had infants in the house. Property location is good, but owner have no respect for privacy or personal property at all. Will recommend looking for something else.

We truly apologize for the interruption during your trip. This owner does employ a quarterly pest control service for some of the native insects like palmetto bugs, ants, etc. They do this with the comfort of guests in mind. Normally, vendors are not allowed to enter homes without guest permission, and we require advance notice from them so we can communicate with guests appropriately. Unfortunately, in this case, we were not made aware that pest control would be performing their normal quarterly treatment during your stay. We recall speaking with you the day of the incident. The pest control technician was given access to the home by two members of your party who were present when he arrived and gave him permission to spray inside the home. We were glad that the pest control company was able to talk with you concerning the spray they used, ensuring that it was safe for both people and pets. We have emphasized to this vendor that we need advance notice before they can go to any rental properties as to prevent these types of surprise visits. Again, we apologize for the unusual experience and were glad to hear you enjoyed the remainder of your stay.
