Mountain Cabin/Private/Deck/Views/Sunsets/In The Woods
Our quaint fully equipped 2 bedroom/2bath little Cabin is located in Brasstown NC, off the beaten path in the woods, yet not too far from town. Approx. 10 miles in either direction to Murphy and Hayesville. 20 minutes to Lake Chatuge for all of your water sports in the summer time. Just 15 minutes away is Fire Creek Falls, a beautiful drive and a hidden gem. It has a little waterfall in the forest, where children and adults can paddle in the river and fish. A pretty 20 minute drive will take you to West Coast Tubing and Crane Creek Winery which is in a beautiful setting with views. Also the Folk School is only 15 minutes away. The road up to the cabin is a winding, steep, gravel road. A 4-wheel drive or traction control is highly recommended. The cabin is the very last one at the top of the winding road. It is private, peaceful, in the trees and has lovely views with a wraparound deck to enjoy them. The stars are amazing on a clear night, not to mention the sunsets and the fireflies glowing on a summer night! If you are lucky, you might see a bear, deer on most mornings and evenings, a possum and who knows what else when you're not looking. The cabin has everything you need for your stay and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Thank you so much for choosing our cabin, we are very pleased you liked it and enjoyed your stay. We love sharing our little piece of mountain life so others can enjoy it too. We appreciate your kind review and look forward to next time.
Secluded getaway. Very clean and nice. Host was easy to get ahold of and responsive to any concerns. The road to get to the cabin was steep and a little intimidating for someone from the Illinois prairie. But, I got the hang of it.
We were very happy with our little cabin, it was very comfortable with all the amenities that we needed. We were thankful that it was so clean, and Teresa is a fantastic host. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us..

Kristy, thank you so much for your very kind review! I am very happy you enjoyed your stay and I hope you will be back. We are here this week and loving it too!
Thanks again, Teresa.
Rapid, attentive response from owner. The cabin was very clean, well furnished and provisioned. Nice quality extra towels, sheets and blankets. Kitchen cookware plentiful and in good shape. The ambiance on the deck was quiet, peaceful and serene. Good value. We will stay here again when we are back in the area.
My family stayed here to enjoy the beauty of western North Carolina for Thanksgiving and it was perfect! The cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The beds were comfortable, and best of all the entire house was very clean! We loved sitting on the deck and seeing the deer, raccoons, and birds while enjoying the view. The cabin was close enough that we were able to spend some time in North Georgia as well as check out Franklin, NC. The only downsides were the internet was not that great (but we had good cell service), and the driveway was steep which gave my 2WD suv a little bit of trouble the first time we drove it. The next time we are able to come visit western North Carolina I will definitely book this cabin!

Thank you so much for your lovely review!
I know the road is a bit of a challenge and we do get it graded twice a year in the spring and the beginning of fall. The internet is slow and it has a lot to do with the location of the cabin. I am trying to work on that with the company.
I really appreciate your feedback and we look
forward to your next stay!
I was at the cabin for a week and it was lovely! The interior was very comfortable and met all my needs while I was at John C Campbell. It was only about 4 miles/ 10 mins away from the school. I didn't have time to sit on the deck, but I think it would be great also. Easy to cook with all the necessary utensils. Nice bathroom and comfy bed. It was very easy to talk with Teresa, the owner.
I will say the road up scared me. Going up was more difficult than coming down due to the deep potholes on the inclines, particularly in the dark. However, I got used to it, put the car in low gear and went steadily upward. I would stay there again.

Always very pleased to receive 5 star reviews!
Thank you so much. Yes, the road is a challenge and we do recommend a 4 wheel drive or traction control until we can get it graded again. I am glad you mentioned the bathroom as I had just painted it and we replaced the vanity, sink and faucet! 2nd bathroom next time. Love that the Folk School is so close! Very happy to know you would stay again!
Kevin and I are originally from England but have lived in the US for many years. Our primary home is in Florida near family and the beach, which we love but we also love getting away from it all to our quiet, peaceful mountain cabin. We wanted to become hosts to give others an opportunity to enjoy our cabin as we do, at a reasonable cost when we aren't using it.
Why they chose this property
We chose this cabin so that we can make family memories most of all. Also because of its ruralness but yet not far from mountain towns. It’s lovely views, quiet, peaceful setting in the woods, with the birds, deer, fireflies and whatever else we might see. To us it is a little gem.
What makes this property unique
Our cabin is in a pretty, peaceful, private location in the woods with lovely views and wild life, if you’re lucky enough to see them. It's a great getaway and well equipped with everything you need. Off the beaten path yet close to towns. There is a lot to explore in this area of North Georgia and Northwest Carolina. Rivers, streams, waterfalls, lakes, quaint mountain towns, beautiful wineries.
