Everything was once again great. For the second year in a row our group stayed here for the Fallen Firefighter Memorial ceremony and the place couldn't be better for serving our purposes. Hope to be back again and again.
Location, communication, and property were awesome. Had 10 people stay and easily had room for 10 more.
Outdoor area accomodated 25-30 of us for an afternoon cookout.
Highly recommend for groups looking to explore. Close to everything.
Six ladies in our 60s and 70s had a great time in your property! We loved having both a living room and a dining table large enough to accommodate us all. Many thoughtful touches, like the makeup cloths, extra blankets (even though I don't thonk anyone used them in July), tissues in each room, etc. Thanks for having a kitchen with all the cooking utensils, bowls, dishes, etc. we needed. We would definitely come back and recommend to others!
Great Location for Colorado Springs Sights and Neighborhoods
We enjoyed our stay at Pendleton Lodge. Super convenient to major sights (Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak) and well situated for others (Royal Gorge). And an easy walk to downtown and neighborhood restaurants. Nice setup for a large group. Well equipped kitchen - loads of dishes, cooking utensils and serving pieces. Decor is fun; lots of nice touches. It is an old home, so expect some imperfections, but it is part of the charm. Quiet at night. Easy and timely communications with the host. Our only wish is that the cleaning service had been better before our arrival. The owner has been notified, so I'm sure it will improve.
One of the coolest VRBO experiences I've had in many years of using vacation rentals.
We had some travel plans fall through and needed a place last minute for our family of five, plus a gathering place for friends that would visit during the days and for dinners during our stay (we were at a national athletic event for our kids, and they had friends, and friends' families that were in town for the event as well). This house was perfect for that. It is huge and extremely well kept and beautifully decorated. The backyard area was awesome, and we congregated there every night with our kids' friends and families. This place became sort of the home base for our kids and their teammates. Even though only the five people in my family actually stayed/slept there, the other few kids and parents would leave their hotel rooms & rentals and gather at "our" place, because everyone loved it and felt at home there. It was an unexpected stroke of good luck that we ended up in this place, and I will definitely try to book it again the next time we are in Colorado Springs. It really made the trip... no exaggeration, it is the coolest VRBO we've ever booked in almost two decades of using vacation rentals. Loved it. HIGHLY recommend!
Everything was great from the booking to the host instructions. David was very helpful with directions and the code to enter the home. Home was very spacious and equipped with everything we needed.
Pendleton Lodge is a wonderfully appointed facility (two big washing machines and dryers, two gas fireplaces, a patio with a fire pit), a spacious kitchen. We had two twenty-month-old grandchildren staying with our group and the hosts put covers on al the electrical outlets, and provided two baby gates, a highchair and some wonderful dishwasher safe dishes for them. There was plenty of space for our family of ten, even the on-street parking was adequate for our vehicles when others joined us for meals, and fifteen of us managed to squeeze around the dining table for turkey dinner.
