Mini vacay in the woods

Its a really pretty property tucked away from lots of traffic and people, all the other people at the property (there was a campground just down the drive a ways) were so friendly and helpful with directions. The cabin itself was cozy and perfect for our family of 4, it was clean, and had most everything you'd need for cooking meals, which if you dont want to cook, there are great little diners just 10 to 15 minutes away. Outside is so cute, plenty of seating, firepit, grill, and a lovely view of the woods and cite homey decorations make it such a nice atmosphere. We came to go to Turkey Run, and it wasn't a horribly long drive there either, so the location was pretty perfect.

Cabin was very nice and clean. Communication with host was great. Just wish we could have seen the lake. Boat dock is nice but there is a slope down to it.

Great little getaway!

We had a great long weekend here. Kid enjoyed the beach and boat rentals from Raccoon Lake. Owners and neighbors were so nice. Although this cabin was small it was perfectly decorated and had everything you could possibly need. Going up and down the hill to the dock is a slight was a little longer than we expected but worked out.

Fabulous, relaxing get away!

This cabin in the woods, right by the lake, is fantastic and everything we had hoped for! Super clean, up to date appliances, plenty of room, great deck and awesome grill! Super handy to be able to dock our boat right on property. Our property manager was amazing, flexible and ready with anything at a moments notice. We cannot wait to stay here again!

Best vacation Ever!

This was the best trip! Our hosts were amazing and the house was incredible! The lake was great for swimming and kayaking, and Rockville is minutes from Turkey Run State Park, the best Omish bakeries and food are 5 minutes away. We did not want to leave. So serene and fun. Next year we will be back for 2 weeks. A hidden gem for sure!

Nature’s Quiet Recharge

My sons and I enjoyed nature’s quiet in this quaint getaway home with close proximity to everything you need but far enough away that you can just relax and get away from the corporate hustle. It was only 15 minutes away from Turkey Run where we enjoyed the trails and some fishing. The property managers were kind and available in case we had questions. I would definitely recommend for those looking for a quick, quiet getaway!

Loved the location. House is perfect for a weekend of boating on the lake. Will definitely return! For people with negative reviews, you need to know and understand the area and the lake. This lake is not a high class lake. It is for good people who want to have fun type of lake.

Not as it seems

The pictures of the property makes it seem as though you are in a private location with views of a beautiful lake. What the don't show is that you cannot see the lake anywhere from the property, only tightly packed trailers and cabins. What seemed like a peaceful retreat turned to a random cabin in a falling apart seasonal home campground. The hot tub was frozen over and didn't work, as this was one of the only reasons I booked this property I was highly disappointed. No communication prior to arrival said anything about the hot tub not working or anything of that matter, which the owner replied when I noticed that it wasn't working was that she wouldn't try to swindle or con anyone. Overall the cabin was nice but the area and surrounding was not as seemed. Unfortunate.

Very inaccurate description

The listing was very inaccurate..The pictures / description made it seem like the lake was footsteps away. Not at all what it looked like. We went to go fishing and have a relaxed weekend.we were not told that the lake is drained and not there . Also there was absolutely no service to watch t.v. or use cell phones. We called Traci, she told us she was going to call att and that she would call us back..never heard from her. The rules were to clean up after ourselves, take out garbage, strip the bed do dishes which we did but they charge a 75 dollar clean up fee. We did not stay in cabin all day because there was nothing to do. We had to find things to do that costed a ton of extra money to keep busy because of the no lake situation. I texted Traci to let her know our disappointment she literally said sorry with a smiley face and a thumbs up emogi..Don't stay here.Its an old trailer park with this one cabin. Very poorly upkeep at the trailer park. Very disappointed as this was a weekend for my husband and I to relax and fish.

The seasonal campground you will drive thru to get to the property where you will be staying, was developed by my husband's grandfather in1964. He had a dream for people to enjoy fishing and boating or just having time with the family. This was also about the time Cecil Harden Lake was coming to life! Tom and I bought the lake front property backing up to what is still to this day our family owned private campground. We moved out here to the lake for good in 2016 and have been living out our dream every day since.

Your children can feel safe at our private playground, we have a shelter house that you would be welcome to use if available. The home sits quietly along the trees and the lake is 500ft from your back door! The backyard space is so welcoming you may not want to leave!. Come relax and enjoy!

This home will give you the feeling of being in Gatlinburg TN! The lodge look décor and feel will definitely make you feel warm and fuzzy inside! This cozy little cabin will have you breathing a sigh of relief the minute you step in the door!
