Follow the scenic curves of M22 to find a vacationer's delight! From Frankfort to Sleeping Bear Dunes, this winding roadway offers breathtaking views and quaint towns to visit. Dune Grass Shores has the perfect north shore location, with Frankfort and Beulah being just a few minutes' drive.

Nestled in the Dune Grass on the northern shores of Crystal Lake, you'll find this rustic rental getaway consisting of two homes. The main home has a full kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and sofa bed in the living area. The guest house has an open floor plan with a set of bunk beds, a full bathroom, plus a freezer and mini-fridge.

There is no Wi-Fi here, so you can unplug and explore! Enjoy a bonfire on the private patio, make an outdoor dinner on the gas stove, or lounge on your 100 ft. of private waterfront.

Please note that this property does not have A/C.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Dock details: Small dock with boat lift. Weight limit for boat lift is 1600 lbs. Anything over that weight will need to be moored. Guest is responsible for providing a temporary mooring.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Beautiful rustic cottage

We have stayed at this cottage for the last two summers. It is small and a bit rustic but also provides nice privacy and plenty of sleeping for 6.

Main house is small but perfect for 2 people. Love the wood on the inside. A very cabin feel. The second cabin has a strong odor to it. Fine if the windows were open but once closed it got very strong.

Good house!

The main cottage is exactly as pictured. Clean. Compact. Easy access to Crystal Lake with beautiful view of water. Most of what you need is in the kitchen, except for a freezer. What is not clear from the description is that the building with the deck, just behind to the left as you face the cottage, is where the 2d bedroom and 2d bathroom are (with full-size bunkbed). There is also a chest freezer in 2d building. Nice fire pit. Home is good location to Sleeping Dunes, various beaches. Located between Beulah and Frankfurt.

This property would have been the perfect lake getaway I was intending it to be if it hadn’t been for the cockroaches, mold, and other hazards found in and around the home. It was very clear that both units of the rental had not been cleaned from the cockroach infestation we found, cobwebs galore in the pantry cabinet and underneath all the kitchen cabinets, mold in the deep freezer (that was left unplugged and therefor made the whole unit smell like mold) in the unit where my children would have been sleeping, trash left in the bin underneath the kitchen sink, rotted wood to the deck entrance of the secondary unit, etc. We were relocated to a thankfully clean home and did not get settled in until midnight with my small children. Our relocation was to a home not on the lake, no lake view, no dock for our boat, and no lake access for my kids to go swimming. This was not the trip I intended.

Nice getaway

We loved the area. The 2 cabins are small and are not shown in the pictures/description that there are 2 separate cabins with one bedroom in each. Probably would add that especially for families with young children. Used the fire pit every night.

The lake is excellent the property it’s very nice but the dock is a safety hazard. Also there should be a better description of the refrigerator. We really enjoyed our stay love the lake and had a good time just need to fix the dock.
