About this property
Benton Place - Stylish Desert Escape
Welcome to Benton Place in Tucson, Arizona.
A cheerfully decorated 1200 sq ft home with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms situated on a corner lot in central Tucson. Indoor and outdoor spaces for dining and relaxing. Covered front and back porches, hot tub and partial views of Mt. Lemmon.
Prior to entering Benton Place, you will be greeted by our iron rocking flamingo sculpture that when the wind blows in, it causes it to sway and flap its large wings. Our covered front porch allows for our guests to stay out of the elements while coming and going from the home.
In our backyard, you can catch a nap in our outdoor daybed, or relax in one of our two hanging basket chairs under the covered porch. If you enjoy alfresco dining, we have you covered on that also with our outdoor dining table with umbrella that seats 4. You can close all the patio curtains for a more private experience, or keep them open. At night, enjoy star gazing in the hot tub.
Our living room is the perfect room to Netflix and chill or have a game night with your friends or family. Open to the dining room and kitchen, the living room offers a great central location for everyone to hang out it. The entire home is carpeted except for the kitchen and bathrooms, which have saltillo tile.
If cooking is your thing, Trader Joe's down the street, as well as a Sprouts Farmers Market grocery store. The kitchen is equipped with an electric stove top and oven, microwave, drip coffee maker, toaster oven and electric kettle. If making your own coffee or tea is not your thing, there are a ton of local coffee shops, all less than a mile away. If you are restaurant people like us, we are central to a ton of great restaurants in both downtown and the foothills.
There are three bedrooms, two of them with kings beds and one with two twin beds. The primary bedroom is on one end of the house, while the other two bedrooms are on the other side. The primary bedroom offers an en-suite bathroom along with dressing room. The other two bedrooms share the bathroom off the main hallway. Neither of the bathrooms have a bathtub.
There is no smoking or vaping allowed in the house or on any of the porches.
Hot Tub is Seasonal: The hot tub is open September through May.
Dipping Pool is Seasonal: The pool is open June through August.
We are lovers of design and artists ourselves. The art in our home is a reflection of us and our personalities. If you are interested in purchasing any of the art you see in our home, please send us a message of what piece you are interested. We would be happy to give you some details and pricing.
The minimum rental age is 25. Great for couples, families, UofA visits, bicyclists & traveling medical professionals.
Whether you choose to stay at Benton Place or elsewhere, we hope you enjoy your stay in Tucson.

About the host
Hosted by David Schmidt
I am a photographer, entrepreneur, artist, husband and farmer! I grew up in Minnesota, and I was a Division 1 gymnast at the University of New Mexico, where I also received a BFA in photography. I live full time in Denver, Colorado with my husband Eddy on our hobby farm, Half Acre Farm. After opening my first photography studio in 2005 I've launched a variety of photography brands along with a custom frame shop that is owned and operated by Eddy.
Interior design is my passion, photography is my career and the desert has my heart. I’m happy you’re here! Say hi sometime.

Why they chose this property
Benton Place is centrally located in Tucson, Arizona. It's a nice location if you are looking for a home away from home that's close to everything. It is not a very walkable neighborhood, so a vehicle will be your best mode of transportation.
What makes this property unique
Our neighborhood is in the Garden District in Midtown Tucson. Our home sits on a corner lot adjacent to medical professional buildings, with residential and mobile homes behind us. It is not a party house, and we do require that you must be at least 25 years old to book our home. Sorry no pets!
