Billy Goat Mountain Village is owned and operated by Hootie & Christine Smith. A vision of providing luxury lodging and life-long memories to trail riders has been in the works for many years and the excitement of seeing a dream become reality is so exciting. We look forward to hosting your next stay. We try not only to meet your expectations but to EXCEED them! Come visit us in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia and make lasting memories with your family and friends!

Why they chose this property

We have lived on Buffalo Mountain for over 30 years. It was affectionally named Billy Goat Mountain in the past due to the extremely large herd of billy goats that populated the mountain stopping traffic and causing traffic to slow down just to get a look a them. Our girls thought that they owned them as pets especially since the goats would venture into the yard and eat the landscaping...we let them think that because they often provided entertainment for them. After many years, the goats have died off but the memory of the goats lives on here on the mountain. We love to ride the trails and look forward to hunting season every year.

What makes this property unique

At your cabin you will enjoy a beautiful mountain top area large enough to haul your trucks and trailers without having to worry about parking. There is AMPLE parking! Fire Pits, Corn Hole, Vintage Arcade, Giant Jenga...lots of other fun games. We also provide the first batch of fire wood free and a Smores Kit to enjoy by the campfire. We also have a photographer who can take your groups picture in true Hatfield-McCoy style complete with moonshine jugs, hats, beards etc. to preserve your Appalachian experience! Feudin', Four Wheelin' and Fun! Our goal is to cater to every need or want and make your vacation a memorable one. Trail riders love the close proximity to the trailhead and we live right next door to our cabins so we are always available to assist you during your stay. We look forward to your trip to Wild, Wonderful West Virginia and Billy Goat Mountain Village...where luxury and location meet.
