Excellent place to stay for trail riding. Very close to trailhead. Everywhere down here is atv friendly. Host had great communication. Would recommend.
This is a very nice cabin. Plenty of places to sleep for everyone. The cabin is nicely decorated. The fire pit out back was perfect for every night when we got back to hang around and chill. 1 minute drive on the atv to get to the Buffalo mountain trail head.
Cottage is designed to maximize space. Very creative design - all needed is provided to have a great stay. Owners are excellent with communication and responding quickly to any questions or needs. A ***** place to stay.
The perfect place to check out Buffalo Mtn, Devils Anse and Rockhouse trails in the Hatfield McCoy system. Classy place and very clean. Owner was a big help.
Stayed with 5 adult men. 6 would be fine, 8 would be tight but doable if you share beds.
Plan to cook as restaurants nearby aren’t all that great.
The cabin was so clean, beautiful and comfortable. The owners were great at communication and getting back to us within minutes. They even got our trail permits ready for us and gave restaurant recs. The Buffalo Mountain Trail head is right behind the cabins. Great location. So bummed we didn’t have time to enjoy the back porch and fire pit. We will be back!!!
It was a long trip from ny and we step inside the cabin to such a cozy space. Our 7 year old went straight to the pacman game while the teens set up the large jenga. We unloaded and the owner stopped by to give us the trail passes and see if we had any questions. He has a pile of complimentary wood for the camp fire, sticks for making food. It was just amazing. The buffalo montagu trailhead is next to the cabin but not too close that is loud.

Thank you for staying with us! So glad your family enjoyed your visit. You guys are amazing guests! Hootie & Christine
Cabins were very clean, beds were comfortable, amenities are very well thought out. We absolutely loved our stay, and if you are looking to ride the Buffalo trail you can't get a better location! My 10 year old daughter loved the loft, she was up there the entire time when we weren't riding the trails. The cabin was covinient to gasoline, and several food options. I pull a 24' trailer, there was all kinds of room to loaf and unload, maneuver and park. We honestly couldn't have picked a better place to stay for this trip. We love Hatfeild McCoy, we love it even more now that the lodging options have expanded to include places like Billygoat cabins. PERFECT!

Can't say enough nice things about the cabin and the overall experience. Greg was super easy to deal with and a good source for restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. We will definitely be back again.
Greg the owner was fantastic and the property was well kept and close to bearmountain trailhead. Super accomidating in every way. A little smaller than I thought from the pics online but then again we had 7 of us. Great experience for my 8 year olds first ride. Would definitely recommend.
Cabins are beautiful. Location is great. Hosts are very nice

We look forward to hosting your next stay. We try not only to meet your expectations but to EXCEED them! Come visit us in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia and make lasting memories with your family and friends!
Why they chose this property
We have lived on Buffalo Mountain for over 30 years. It was affectionally named Billy Goat Mountain in the past due to the extremely large herd of billy goats that populated the mountain stopping traffic and causing traffic to slow down just to get a look a them. Our girls thought that they owned them as pets especially since the goats would venture into the yard and eat the landscaping...we let them think that because they often provided entertainment for them. After many years, the goats have died off but the memory of the goats lives on here on the mountain. We love to ride the trails and look forward to hunting season every year.
What makes this property unique
At your cabin you will enjoy a beautiful mountain top area large enough to haul your trucks and trailers without having to worry about parking. There is AMPLE parking! Fire Pits, Corn Hole, Vintage Arcade, Giant Jenga...lots of other fun games. We also provide the first batch of fire wood free and a Smores Kit to enjoy by the campfire. We also have a photographer who can take your groups picture in true Hatfield-McCoy style complete with moonshine jugs, hats, beards etc. to preserve your Appalachian experience! Feudin', Four Wheelin' and Fun! Our goal is to cater to every need or want and make your vacation a memorable one. Trail riders love the close proximity to the trailhead and we live right next door to our cabins so we are always available to assist you during your stay. We look forward to your trip to Wild, Wonderful West Virginia and Billy Goat Mountain Village...where luxury and location meet.
