Great place! Nice bed, lovely kitchen. Enjoyed sitting outdoors when the temperature was high enough. Good location - one can walk to U of A then take free tram to various places. I'd certainly stay there again.
Good value place with separate bedroom and full kitchen. What to be aware of:- Only street parking, with gravel walkway. So, after shopping, consider that you'll have to carry everything by hand.- No dishwasher, but large enough kitchen sink.- Work desk or space. You have to either use kitchen counter or coffee table, neither are comfortable for computer work.- A weird unpredictable A/C controller. In the evening, the temperature reverts to around 92 deg F. You may want to discuss this with the owner, if you are there during hot season. - A/C blows straight at you when you are in bed sleeping and this is very uncomfortable.- I had problem with Wifi and T-Mobile connection, but the owner installed a Wifi extender inside the unit and the problem was solved.
This casita was exceptionally well equipped, nicely decorated and very clean. Perfect location for exploring the city, lots of restaurants nearby. Would stay again!
We were in Tucson to attend our daughter's medical school graduation. The casita was a perfect distance to our daughters' home and graduation functions. Great little outside area.
Location, access, and ease of stay were great. Appeared very clean. However, place had a moldly/animal smell and cockroaches.

We're so sorry you had this experience Briana! Our property is sprayed for pests twice a year. The city also sprays the sewers annually and this does sometimes cause a roach or two to come out of the drains and into our Tucson homes. We do our best to prevent this! Regarding a smell, I think that may have been a fluke left over from a previous guest. We hope to be able to host you again in the future and earn your 10/10 review!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Tucson has so much to offer and the Casita is conveniently located to everything. Nice walks in the neighborhood, to the university and restaurants. No doubt about it the place is small but has everything we needed. Bed is also comfy. A perk is the sweet yard just perfect for our pet to be outdoors too.
Although small, the space was used very efficiently. Enjoyed the view out the bedroom window to see green space with family activities and even some chickens. Host is very helpful and the neighborhood was good to walk our dog, too.
Husband and I stayed here two nights while visiting Tucson. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Cool local restaurants. Only downside was operation of the TV, but we rarely used it. Highly recommend for 1-2 people!
We stayed six nights and enjoyed the place. Quiet neighborhood. The bed was comfy and everything was as listed. Good towels and plenty of shampoo, etc.
The couch is not very comfortable, but I can see that it could be difficult to find a good couch for the small place it needs to fit in.
We liked the private outdoor area and used it quite a bit.
Just a heads up to anybody staying in the Tucson neighborhoods, the neighborhoods are dark. Very few street lights and nobody turns on exterior lights. We drove all over while there and noticed it everywhere. Be prepared to use the flashlight on your phone when walking around.
Candace is a supah dupah host!! The space is GREAT! Comfy bed, awesome shower head and water pressure, as well as a walk in closet that was a nice addition I hadnt really expected. The kitchen space and supplies available for cooking went above and beyond...cuz when I needed an ice cream scooper..I found one!! The Casita courtyard is private and spacious, but also felt "cozy" and I def took advantage of the propane grill!! This location couldnt be any better and I almost regret giving it such a great review...cuz "Candy's Casita" is the ONLY place I will want to stay when I come visit my friends and family! The BONUS is that "pet friendly" is what actually allowed me to come celebrate my birthday with my peeps...because I dont go anywhere without my Adventure Cats...and responsible travelers with cats (2 max as described) can call Candy's Casita their meowsome home away from home!
We had a wonderful time. Place was clean and comfortable. Bed was extremely comfortable with soft sheets. My wife loves chickens and really enjoyed seeing them. Thank you for everything. This will be our first choice when staying in Tucson.
This was by far the best equipped VRBO we have ever stayed in! It was cute and clean and literally had everything we needed. We have started carrying a “VRBO box” with us with several things that we have needed staying at other places over the years (salt and pepper, cooking spray, wine glasses, corkscrew, etc). Candice has made sure to think of everything and we didn’t need our box at all! The neighborhood is quiet, the. casita is well maintained and easily accessible.
good legit casita... dogs loved it... I hope to stay here again next time!

Awesome central location. We are located just 1.3 miles from the University of Arizona, 3.5 miles to downtown Tucson, less than a mile from dozens of restaurants, coffee shops, stores, salons, and grocery stores. Samos offers easy access to all sides of town. Since Tucson is spread out we are in an ideal location.
What makes this property unique
Our casita was built in 1935. It has been tastefully updated with modern touches inside, but the outside has all the charm you would expect! Our property is one of the most unique in the neighborhood and we are sure you will love it!
