Spring break with friends
The property and location were fantastic. The steep and snow-covered roads in were fine with 4WD and made great sledding runs for the kids.

Birthday Ski Trip
We loved the cabin and skiing experience. The atmosphere was beautiful and it was very nice! We brought food prepared for oven and had a special treat of pork fritters, salad, Italian cream cake! It was a great 67th birthday celebration with Kay, kids and 8 grandkids! Thanks Dan Villines

Host profile image
I work as a property manager. Love traveling, pushing my level of comfort and hope to hike as long as I live. To me, travel has been a luxury and I'm grateful to have crossed a few rivers and oceans so far. Being drawn to one-of-a-kind accommodations, and/or supporting locals who host, Third party travel sites are one go-to for me, when a direct lodging website is not available.

As a host and appreciator of thoughtful hospitality, my goal is for guests to make lasting memories, and want to return to that place. In an environment that encourages being alive in the simplest way, I hope guests find themselves traversing mountains, learning local history and chatting up neighbors. But if you're busy hitting the trails, slopes, summits, springs or rivers, well that is just fine too..

Why they chose this property

This property is great for those wanting to relax, sink into nature, disconnect and who enjoy quiet and dark skies. It is slower living here. Gravel roads, abundant trees (NO FIRES/BURNING), mountain views, near the Arkansas River and an annual 350" of snowfall. We are at high elevation, the air is dry and sun shines from clear skies nearly all summer long.
