The NuLu and Butchertown neighborhoods are THE happening spots in Louisville. We are walking distance to downtown museums, Slugger field, waterfront park, the pedestrian bridge, the skate park, and a plethora of shops and restaurants. The list of dining options is expansive and varied. You will find everything from pastries at Butchertown Bakery on Main Street to a decadent 3-course meal at Decca. There are intriguing shops and galleries on Market Street (Quappi Projects is located on the Upstairs premises!) and scattered throughout the neighborhood. The free trolley picks up passengers a block away and Ubers and cabs can be called at all hours. Our favorite thing about this neighborhood is the warm neighbors, business owners, and shop keepers that call the neighborhood home.

The location is terrific — you can walk to the most desired spots in town and are in the heart of it all, but the property is tucked away off of the street making it a delightfully quiet and private spot. The interior design is thoughtful and beautiful — every bit as lovely as the photos and more. The hosts have thought of everything, from terrific recommendations that only the most knowledgeable locals could deliver as well as fantastic amenities. We were also pleasantly surprised to find that the kitchen offered even more than we expected, including a mini fridge and electric kettle for making coffee or tea in the morning.
