Welcome to Bubble Beach - our renovated home in secluded Keeper's Landing on Bald Head Island. The community is tucked in the maritime forest and includes private dock access along the intercostal waterway for fishing, crabbing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding.

Our stay at Bubble Beach house this year was truly wonderful. Rich and the crew were incredibly responsive and thorough in providing materials to help us plan for our trip to Bald Head Island which made the experience seamless. The property was clean and well appointed, we loved the location, tucked into the woods, and the 2 golf carts were a major plus as a family w/ kids. We would definitely stay here again!

This is one of the best homes we’ve stayed in in 20 years of BHI vacations! Of course it was well-located and 2 golf carts are nice and the bunk room was a great 3rd bedroom. But so many small things made it exceptional: a garbage disposal! Filtered water so we didn’t need to buy water (and those plastic jugs). Nice kitchen towels and plenty of them. And the cleanliness was top notch—all the way to really clean golf carts and patio furniture. Thank you!

Our New Favorite Spot on BHI!

We stay on BHI for a week every year for spring break. We've tried lots of different house over the years and this is one of our favorites! The house was clean, updated and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed. Communication with the property manager was top notch the whole process. We will be back!

We had a wonderful time! This property is beautiful and was exactly what we were looking for, far exceeding our expectations. The beds are comfortable, the home is clean and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals to enjoy family time. The owners have clearly thought of everything so you don't have to. :)

Poor Management

BHI relies on golf cart transportation. Our cart died in the first day and left us stranded and ruined our entire visit. The host was condescending and insulting. The host acknowledged the cart had been in this site before.

We sincerely regret that you had an issue with the golf cart. After a Thursday arrival, we received your call Friday afternoon informing us that the cart became inoperable after you used it all morning to explore the island. Immediately upon your call, we called our golf cart service provider and they arrived within 10 minutes to tow the cart back to the house and diagnose the problem. When we spoke with the service provider, they confirmed that the issue was simply a dead battery and a re-charge was all it required to become operable again. While the service provider was onsite, I informed you of an estimate for how long the re-charge would take (a couple of hours) and we agreed it would take about the same amount of time to procure a rental as a back-up cart, so you declined to pursue that. Despite that, we decided to compensate you for the full+ amount of a day-long golf cart rental. At the conclusion of our call, I asked if there was anything else I could do to make sure your stay was enjoyable, and you said there was nothing else that you needed. To us, that meant the issue had been resolved to your satisfaction. During the remainder of your stay, the cart was fully functional, which you confirmed. It was not clear until after your checkout/review that you were unsatisfied with our resolution for the two hours during which you couldn’t use the golf cart. As hosts, we want to take this opportunity to mention that we feel this review is a misrepresentation of what occurred and reassure our future guests that our home and cart are very carefully maintained. Our cart is a 2019 Club Car Onward model with a digital monitor that displays remaining battery life. It is on a seasonal plan with routine maintenance checks (monthly from May-September and every other month in off season). We also take pride in our customer service and we feel we resolved this matter in an efficient and empathetic way when we were given that opportunity. Bald Head Island is a wonderful place, and we strive to make sure our guests feel that in every way.

Best place on BHI!!!

My family and I have been going to BHI for over 10 years, and this is by far the best place that we’ve ever stayed! The house has been recently renovated and is absolutely beautiful — the kitchen is nicer than ours at home and the new bunk room off the living room was the perfect place for our boys. They loved having a place of their own, and we loved being able to separate but still have them close by :) it really was the perfect family floor plan! The location of the house couldn’t be better — a quick bike or cart ride to the beach and a short walk to the marsh with the best dock on the the island. It’s the perfect place to cast a line or watch the sunset (we did lots of both!). Richard and Lindsey were the ultimate hosts — they were quick to respond, incredibly accommodating, and spared no detail. The house had absolutely everything we needed, and then some. Our kids loved the boogie boards, bocce, giant Connect Four, and countless sandcastle supplies. I don’t think they’ve ever been so entertained at the beach! Simply put, it was a magical week at a top-knotch house, and we can wait to go back!!

When we aren't out on the beach, we enjoy biking/walking around the island, enjoying a cocktail in the various outdoor living spaces, and grilling out back.
