Our stay at this property was great. The home was clean, well-maintained, and accurately represented in the listing. The host was professional, responsive, and welcoming throughout our visit. All amenities were in very good condition and contributed to a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We would confidently recommend this property to others and would be pleased to return.
The place was wonderful and the host was very helpful. Our only complaint was the traffic noise, but it helped having portable air conditioning units in our rooms so we could turn the fan on to drown out some of the noise.
My family decided to add a couple of days in Bar Harbor to our Maine vacation and this house was perfect. A few minutes from the busy part of Bar Harbor, and a few minutes from Acadia: it was perfect. Super clean property, and the easiest cleaning/checkout process I've ever had at a rental.
Very clean and convenient location for quickly getting to & from Acadia and Bar Harbor. Beds were also very comfy! The house is right on a main road, where vehicles are frequently driving at high speeds, so just something to keep in mind.
This is a perfect little gem just outside of Acadia, outside the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor proper. It's a great spot to enjoy Acadia, but get away from the crowds to wind down for the night.
Great place/location for the whole island. Spectacular instructions via email for check in and check out. Never needed to contact host because everything was in order.
House was clean, free coffee a nice bonus, and definitely nice to be able to bring our dog!! Kitchen fairly well- supplied though as a group of 5 we had to regularly clean plates and silverware. Living space, beds and bathrooms comfortable and as advertised. Would definitely go back!
Nice, clean property centrally located to explore Acadia/bar harbor and quiet side of the island. Great for two families (7 people). Short drive to park entrance and carriage roads. On a busy road, but offset enough from the road with ample parking and driveway.
Excellent property close to Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor. House was spacious with plenty of room for 3 adults and 3 children. Two bathrooms provide plenty of privacy and space for all to tidy up. Nice deck off the back with gas grill and outdoor dining. Check in process was smooth and communication with the owner was prompt. Great trip and would highly recommend this property to family and friends.
This house was perfectly located off the main road around Mt Desert Island. Less than 10 minutes into Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, but also close enough to the mainland for easy travel in and out. House was clean and enough room for 2 people and a large dog. While the property is dog friendly, there is no fence in the yard. Great stay in the off season!

The location so close to the very busy highway was not ideal. Very loud traffic. This would not be so much of a problem accept there is no Air Conditioning. Therefore,we had to sleep with the windows open. The very loud traffic made it difficult to sleep.Otherwise, it was a nice place clean and plenty of room for our family.
The property was wonderful! Well stocked kitchen and lots of room to relax after a day of hiking. It was a perfect rental home for myself, my husband and our 2 adult children. The beds were comfy but I would recommend having some different pillow options. Overall, the home was extremely clean and all the furniture was like new.
We had a lovely stay at this charming house. The location is so close to the entrance to both Acadia (park loop and visitor center) and Bar Harbor. It felt like a central location to nearly everything on Mount Desert Island. The accommodations were clean, well stocked, and definitely made us feel home while on vacation. Communication with the property manager was always prompt and thoroughly helpful. They made check-in and check-out a breeze. Our family of 6 could not have had a better time, we are recommending this location to friends who are also planning on visiting the area. Book this before it is gone, it is so good!
Really enjoyed our stay here. It’s about a 15 minute drive to Bar Harbor, and a 10-15 min drive to a lot of the popular Acadia trails. There is nothing in immediate walking distance and there are very few Ubers, so you definitely need a car to stay in this location. Bedrooms / bathrooms were big, beds were comfortable, nice kitchen, good outdoor patio space, inside was clean. It’s right on a main road which we didn’t mind, maybe anyone with younger kids it might impact more. There was some confusion with our early checkin and I had a hard time getting ahold of the host during that time, but outside of that the check-in/out was super easy. Would recommend
The location of this property was amazing. It’s located right downtown Bar Harbor near shopping and shops. The location is also great if you are planning on doing any lobster boat tours or Arcadia national park tours . Our tour pickups were right across the street and our other tour was just a few blocks down the street. We were able to walk to everything including bar path !
The house is dated could use a few upgrades. The main concern is that the front door window needs a blind, or some type of covering. The window in the bedroom the blind is not long enough. There are several blinds in the house that are not the correct size also the very top loft room needs an air conditioner. Other than these items we enjoyed the place !

Not to confuse any guests, we had a plumbing issue at the property and moved these guests to a unit right in downtown Bar Harbor as well as provide a partial refund for their troubles. This review is for another unit we manage named "Agamont" [VRBO ID: 3833290]. We have since added AC Unit to that bedroom mentioned. Thank you for being great guests and for the review Amy!!

If you’re considering this rental, please read this review. Good: Feels new, modern furnishings, tastefully decorated, basically clean, firm mattresses, plenty of parking, nice furnished back porch.Bad: Built and furnished with the most basic/cheap builder-grade materials we have ever seen. Beginning to fall apart. Bed linens were fine, but the towels were thin and rough. So much traffic noise! Front “lawn” is a field of weeds.Wish we hadn’t stayed here because of the way Maebeth treated us and our fear that they have “rated” us as bad tenants, thus risking our ability to rent from VRBO in the future. VRBO prevents us from seeing their review of us until after we submit our review. Here's what really happened. At Maebeth's suggestion, we bought groceries in Ellsworth before arriving. We asked if we could but the perishables in the fridge before 4pm check-in time. They said that the cleaners had to be done first. We arrived a bit after 3pm and, since the cleaners had left, went inside. We emailed Maebeth to tell them that one of the closet bi-fold doors had come completely off its hinge posing a hazard of falling and injuring someone. Maebeth responded with “Why are you in the unit right now? Check-in is not until 4pm and the unit was not marked as completed. I’m disappointed you still checked in and went to the fridge after we said no… Can you confirm you understand the checkout time and will follow the rules to checkout properly?” Who talks to a customer like that?

These guests asked to check-in early and I said it might be possible but I cannot guarantee it. I checked at 2pm, 2:30PM, and 3pm with the field to see if the unit was ready and followed up with the guest each time to say it wasn't ready yet. The maintenance person was going over to fix the broken closet door and the inventory person was stopping by to stock up on toilet paper, paper towels, etc for the unit. These guests checked in even though they were told the unit was not ready yet and I didn't find out until the handyman called me saying people were inside. I called them to make sure they understand the Check-In and Check-Out times and to ask why did they check-in early. The conversation was friendly in my opinion - we never heard back from the guests the rest of their stay
House was great for a family vacation. Loved the room with 3 twins for the kids. Convenient location for visiting Acadia. Kitchen could have been cleaner as we had to scrub the stove top, dining table and some dishes prior to being able to use them. Host was great to work with resolving an issue we had with the oven in a timely manner and discussing the kitchen cleanliness. They seemed to truly care about any issues. Bedrooms could really benefit from some black out curtains. The blinds didnt seem to keep the sun out at all making sleeping past dawn a challenge for all of us.
