The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Return the keys
Please leave all towels cleaned and stored where you found them. Leaving as little as possible for the washer/dryer is much appreciated as it is a lot for the cleaners in the time they have. Thanks!
Trash pick is early on Monday mornings. Please leave the trashcan at the end of the driveway with the sticker provided on Sunday night.
Please close the umbrella on the outdoor dining table after each use. The umbrella can catch wind and cause the table to topple over and break.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

We had an incredible stay at the Captain’s House. The house had everything we needed and more! There was plenty of space for our two families with six children between us to spread out comfortably. The house was in a great location- less than a 5 minute walk to the center of Vineyard Haven. Everything we needed was provided- linens, towels, beach chairs, toys, bikes, etc. Adrian was an excellent host and very easy to contact.
Thanks again!

I grew up spending my summers on Martha's Vineyard and now split my time between the island and Nepal with my wife Sweta. I'm a stone carver and my work is exhibited throughout the property. In Nepal Sweta and I work with American students on semester study abroad programs as well as in humanitarian work.
Why they chose this property
We love the in town location and being able to walk into town for a coffee, dining, shopping or a swim at the town beach. The house has history and character but with new amenities (kitchen was recently remodeled). The house and yard are well maintained and will charm guests and visitors. The expansive backyard offers an "up island" spacious and secluded feel while only 2 blocks from downtown Vineyard Haven.
What makes this property unique
This historic house was built in 1905 by Captain George Eldridge who in 1875 first published the famous tide schedules still used by sailors today. Expansive yard with harbor views.
