We could not have been more pleased with the house, location, porches, views and antique furnishings. We will definitely be staying again and we highly recommend to anyone looking for the perfect place to stay on Martha’s Vineyard.
This was our 3rd year staying at this property. Our group had a wonderful stay. With the unexpected, nice weather we were able to enjoy the outdoor space. There was plenty of space inside and out for all to relax while reading a book, playing games or just catching up with each other. We hope to return next year.
This property met all of our needs and then some. It has outstanding views and location is very convenient. I especially enjoyed the outdoor porches. I highly recommend!
We booked the house for four days in September for our family to attend a wedding. We had 10 adults and two babies less than a year old, and there was more than enough room for everyone. We could all gather together in the open kitchen/dining/den, or on the side porch. We were pleasantly surprised by the suite type set up on the third floor, with 2 bedrooms, large sitting area, and the bathroom. Our only regret was not coming a few days earlier.
We returned to the Vineyard after many years for a family wedding. This home provided the perfect location, logistics, and charm and reinforced why the Vineyard is such a special place. The Arnolds were very gracious and we hope to be back soon!
Great house a short walk from downtown, closer than we realized. The pictures don't do it justice. Kitchen was well equipped for a rental, we also used the grill which worked great. Check in/out was effortless, would stay again!

Thank you! So glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Mill Hill. Hope to see you again.
We’ve stay in a lot of VRBO properties and this one was great. Everything was comfortable with nice porches, comfortable furniture and beds. Lovely we’ll cared for grounds. My criteria was a 6 bedroom home with walking to the village. Mill Hill hit it all!
We loved the view and the layout. We had a couple of issues her were quickly resolved. Maia head a gracious and attentive host and the caretaker is quick to respond. The views: impeccable!
You can really have it all here. From the harbor views to the cozy farmers porches, there was no shortage of thoughtful amenities. Just a quarter mile from the ferry and shops, you can easily float back and forth between the downtown area to the Mill Hill abode. This stay was so unique! It seemlessly accomated our whole crew (9 people) with room to spare.
Already planning next year's visit!

Thank you! So glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Mill Hill. Hope to see you again.
We loved the location of this property. Beautiful yard where kids could run around, lovely outdoor deck where we enjoyed glimpses of the water, and we all loved walking into Vineyard Haven and riding our bikes to the lighthouse. The owners were very responsive to our requests for additional fans as the attic space has just one AC for one of the bedrooms; the second bedroom does not have an AC. You can tell this is a treasured home.
We stayed at this wonderful property because we were attending our Granddaughter's Wedding on Martha's Vineyard. The house was in a perfect location, close to the MV Museum, where we were picked up and transported to the Edgertown Lighthouse where the wedding took place, and then transported back to the Museum for the reception.
The rooms were perfect--there were 3 couples, and one single person, so everyone was able to have their own room and bathroom. The house was very nicely furnished and very clean. We had a wonderful weekend, the weather was perfect, our accommodations perfect, and we all enjoyed staying at 17 Mill Hill. Spring was the best time to enjoy all of the flowers blooming, and the landscaping well tended.
Mill Hill provided our family with a magnificent house to host our first family vacation in decades! The location was ideal and family members could sit on one of the many porches to look out onto the water, or take a leisurely stroll to the town, or have a relaxing swim. There is so much room in this house, we were never crowded. The house was clean and supplied with fresh linens and household products. During our stay we had a bad storm and the electricity went out. The caretaker was a text away and came right away. We could not have asked for a better house and host. We'll be back next year!
First of all, the photos do not do justice to the house or the yard! The location is beyond ideal— as it is very close to the ferry and downtown Vineyard Haven, but still extremely quiet and private.
The harbor views from the two decks and the porch are so lovely. We loved watching and hearing the ferries come and go.
My goddaughter, her boyfriend and her brother all ran the MV Half-Marathon for the first time.
We decided to make a weekend out of it and her mom and dad and sister came along.
They LOVED the island! (It was their first time on Martha’s Vineyard.) I’ve been going to the Vineyard for 40 years and it was great to share it with them.
The house was so comfortable and roomy and big enough that everyone had their own space.
You can tell that it is well-loved and cared for!
We loved every minute!
