Hike into Garden of the Gods right from the house! Perfect for families!
The location of this family friendly home is simply perfect! You'll be only minutes from the historic Rockledge Ranch, Old Colorado City, Red Rocks Open Space, Manitou Springs, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and Seven Falls. But the real treat is that this beautiful home is only 0.2 mile from a foot/bicycle-only entrance to Garden of the Gods. This means you can avoid the stress of traffic/parking and instead walk right into the Garden. The exceptional location allows you to explore all of Colorado Springs, relax, and spend more time vacationing!
As a guest you'll have full access to the house and its amenities. Relax on the large front deck and enjoy the very quiet, peaceful neighborhood. Go for an evening stroll to Westmoor Park (0.3 mile away.) Hop in the car and go down the road to the brewery of your choice. Or, our personal favorite, walk up the road into The Garden of the Gods to watch sunset. Regardless of your activity choice, regardless of the season, you are likely to see other hikers, bicyclists, families, and plenty of wildlife out enjoying the great outdoors.
What can you expect, depending on the season? Spring: 40's - 60's, sunny, and lots of new wildlife. Colorado is well-known for its heavy, Spring snows and baby blue skies. One day it can snow 2 ft. one day and the next day, it can all melt off. Summer: 70's - 80's, sunny, and everyone (and their dog) is outside. Hikers hit the trails early because by afternoon, loud and intense thunderstorms can build against the mountains. Fall: 60's - 70's, dipping into the 30's sometimes at night! The chilly nights and warm days are the perfect equation for stunning colors. Coffee shops and breweries are hoppin' and a cozy sweater is essential. (Fall is my favorite time of year here.) Winter: 20's - 50's, bright blue skies and snowy mountains. Everyone is still outside, but now they are enjoying the crisp air and Winter activities.

About the host
Hosted by Ashley
My husband and I are both Colorado Springs natives. I grew up in the small, mountain town of Cascade and he grew up in Manitou. Both of us went to school in Manitou and decided to raise our family on the beautiful West side of Colorado Springs. Like all Coloradans, we love the outdoors. We love to hike with our kids + dogs, go camping, fishing, skating, and watch the Colorado Avalanche.
What makes this property unique
Our property stands out because it is so kid-friendly. We have a lot of the "essentials" to make traveling easier with kids: -A tub for washin' them off -A washer and dryer for those endless outfit changes -A stroller, pack n play, high chair, and hiking carrier for your use -Kid toys & books -Very limited stairs (1 stair in the house; 2 stairs outside.) -Kid plates, cups & utensils
Lastly, our themed "Cowboys vs. Indians" room is meant for kiddos, or....even kids-at-heart. (Yes, we have had grown men tell us that they sleep in the tipi beds...because why not pretend that you're under the stars in the Ol' West?!)
