SUNSHINE’S HAPPY PLACE

Private home with a brand new swimming pool! 4 bedroom/ 3 bath duplex rented together as a nightly rental. There are 2 beds/ 2 baths up and 2 beds/ 1 bath down. It is across the street from the beach with a PRIVATE access for our guests.

Enjoy the lovely backyard oasis featuring a private swimming pool. NO DIVING allowed and NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. The enclosure is surrounded by lush palm trees and tropical plants to bring the island vibe poolside. Two dining tables create space to enjoy meals outdoors. Grill your favorite steak, burgers or your fresh catch of the day.
After a full day on the beach, head back to the house to relax by the swimming pool, get a ping pong tournament going or get a competitive game of corn hole started.

There are so many delicious restaurants in Fernandina. SaltLife and Sandbar are within walking distance. Play a round of putt-putt at the course between the restaurants. Enjoy a snowcone or ice cream on the stroll home.
For your safety, we have exterior cameras at the front and back of the property.

Best reunion stay! We loved the property, all 7of us. The house was clean and well stocked, pool was a great gathering place, with chase lounges. Also, beach chairs provided to sit by ocean. The upstairs rental was perfect for our big meals and sitting on the porch watching the waves. Would definitely book again.

Milestone birthday celebration

Great spring break

We had a wonderful stay! The host was super responsive to any questions we asked. The pool was great to hang out by and catch up. You couldn't ask for a better location! Super easy to access the beach and convenient to historic downtown Fernandina!

Family vacation

We rented both upstairs and downstairs for our stay. Plenty of room for the 6 of us gals! The pool was amazing and we spent most of our time there. Easy walk to the beach as well. 7-10 min drive to dining and shopping. The hostess, Amy, was absolutely amazing and very accommodating. We would definitely stay again.

Weekend retreat

Lovely stay

My family loved this house! We had a blast! The pool was so much fun! Also, having that wonderful convenient access to the beach was amazing. It made it super easy for the kiddos to come to the house for a nap.You will love communicating with Amy. She really wants you to have a good time. Very close to downtown area as well. We had a wonderful stay.

We keep coming back!

This was our third year in a row staying in Amy’s beach house (which my 4 year old now calls “his beach house.”). Each year, it gets harder and harder to leave at the end. Amy makes everything so easy! Beach chairs, beach and pool toys, coffee makers, kitchen utensils, toys, etc. all make traveling with children easier. The pool is small, but such an amazing way to relax and unwind from the beach. The location is great and a quick walk across the road to the beach. We can’t wait for year four!

Perfect getaway

Enjoyable stay for a large group. The property was comfortable and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Even though it was cold we were able to use the heated pool. The beach was just a short walk. There were many nice restaurants just a short drive to get to. The host was friendly and highly responsive.

I grew up traveling to Fernandina Beach as a child and fell in love, so naturally it was the beach sweet spot that we always gravitated to for vacation.
We raised our children spending the summers playing in the afternoon tide pools, searching for shark teeth, walking down the beach to play putt putt, and picking out books at the BookLoft downtown to complete summer reading requirements. We have made so many special memories on Amelia Island and we hope that your family and friends will too!

Why they chose this property

Our dream came true to own a slice of heaven when we made our first Fernandina Beach purchase at 240/ 244 South Fletcher Avenue. This property at 551 South Fletcher Avenue is our 3rd property and it is very special. It is situated across the street from the beach but boasts beautiful views of the ocean from the upstairs deck. Get comfy in the cozy deck chair with a good book or settle in for a good nap!
Our newest feature for this property is a beautiful swimming pool! Two waterfalls are a lovely backdrop spilling over the stone ledger wall.

What makes this property unique

We started construction on the swimming pool in January. We discovered after some research that there are not many homes with swimming pools on the beach rental market. This lot provided ample room for the pool and plenty of space to gather with friends and family. We allow up to 8 guests (including children) at all times.
