Paz De Pescadero, your ocean side retreat

Paz De Pescadero aka "Paz" sits on nearly an acre of land just off El Pescadero Beach. Paz is a retreat from the world with sweeping views of the mountains to the sea, offering serenity and comfort with two stand alone dwellings, one with two self contained suites and the other with one wherein all suites have an ocean view and private patio. The king bed in the Surf Suite can also be converted in to two twin beds should you prefer. Downstairs from the Pool and Surf Suites is a full kitchen and living area with sliding glass pocket doors that provide true indoor outdoor living. Upstairs is a rooftop lounge with a 360 degree view. The second (new in 2026) casita has a self contained suite upstairs with a living/dining room downstairs. The property offers a multitude of fruit trees and swaying palms as well as a heated pool, poolside BBQ, horseshoes, a firepit and multiple places to curl up with a good book. Paz has a premier water filtration system providing safe drinking water, and wifi is throughout. We prefer to rent Paz by the week, but if you're in a hurry there is a four night minimum stay, and no pets are allowed.
For those who want to eat out, there are multiple excellent restaurants within a 3-10 minute drive. Good surf is also found within 5-10 minutes of Paz. It is truly your home away from home, perhaps better! You decide.

Beautiful and relaxing family vacation

Our family of 4 (two adults and two kids, 7 and 8) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Paz de Pescadero. We were able to spend a week and a half there and the place really began to feel like home. Some of our favorite parts included: - the pool, especially stargazing at night - lounging and reading in the swinging bed by the pool - grilling and eating outside - watching the sunset from the roof deck - swimming, boogie boarding and trying our hand at surfing at playa Cerritos 15 minute drive away Loved the views of the ocean and the mountains. There is a farm out behind the house, so it feels very private. All the roads around here are dirt roads, so that makes transport take a bit more effort. But I thought the location worked well, swimming beach 15 min away, Todos Santos 15 minutes away and lots of restaurants 5-15 minutes away. Place was very well-equipped and great communication with hosts.

The Paz Getaway

The Paz exceeded our expectations, the house is right off the beach, an easy walk in the mornings to see the whales or catch a sunset. The house is off the beaten path so it was quiet, minimal traffic and felt very safe and secure. The house was appropriately appointed for all your cooking needs down to the beach towels for the beach. Don't miss the upper deck, we enjoyed several sunsets there over appetizers and wine listening to the waves crash. The property is amazing between the pool and the fresh fruit trees around the house. We picked a fresh pomegranate and lime for our smoothie one morning, amazingly fresh. Cynthia was awesome she met us at the house on arrival, showed us all the ins and outs of the place and responded quickly anytime we had questions on the area for dinner, groceries or activities. We will be back, just staying longer next time.

What makes this property unique

Paz is a secure one acre compound just off the beach with 360 degree views of ocean and mountains. Paz is uniquely suited for rest and relaxation. It has been our family retreat since it was built in 2019. We spend a good deal of time here, and we are happy to share Paz with folks who are looking for a place to simply be off the clock and left alone.

In 2026, we are completing construction of an additional casita beside the pool. There will now be a pergola covered poolside cocktail area under which you can watch the kids in the pool while sipping a margarita in the shade. Upstairs will house the Mountains To Sea suite with a private patio and terrace and the downstairs will offer an additional living room, dining room and kitchenette.
