The property is tastefully updated and is one of the cleanest properties I've ever stayed at in the islands. The layout is great and comfortable and there were plenty of linens for everyone. Beds were on the firmer side. The location was perfect for enjoying the Hilo side of the island. The host offered fabulous directions to find it. The wifi was great. There were basic kitchen things for cooking in. No laundry onsite but it wasn't an issue. The host offered lots of snorkel and water accessories. A true gem of a property!

Aloha Carissa! Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear you didn’t find the laundry room. The washer and dryer are always available for the guests to use.
The house was clean and well-equipped. We especially appreciated details like beach towels, lawn chairs, snorkel equipment, etc.Laundry facilities were exceptional! The snacks at welcome were thoughtful.Dampness in the home was a bit challenging; given the climate here, bath mats and towels stayed damp, and there was a bit of a musty smell in the home. The host was attentive and responsive, and All in all, this was a good home base for a family wishing to explore the east side of the island.
Only good things to tell - Very clean, a lot of space, everything you need is there, great location when visiting the east side of the island including Volcanoes National Park. The location of the property is also very quiet (only the frogs and other creatures at night take a bit of getting used to ;)). Can definitely recommend.
Overall, a great stay! Very clean property, nice sized bedrooms, 2 full baths. Saw a few roaches around the property, so didn’t love that, but that happens when staying in the middle of the woods. Kitchen was pretty nice, stocked with plenty of dishes, cooking utensils, and pots/pans, plus some dry goods, like coffee, spices, oil, etc. would definitely recommend staying here!

Aloha, Joshua!
Thank you for your feedback. It is merely impossible to keep insects out of the property in Hawaii. They live here all year round.
The house is in a nice location for a remote peaceful visit to the Big Island. The home was clean and well supplied and the hosts communicated well. There were a few critters in the kitchen while we were there, but not unexpected for a home located in such a remote area.A very nice stay overall!
We love this place! This is our second stay here. Listening to the frogs at night and seeing the stars are highlights. It’s close to Volcano NP. We were able to see an eruption this time. We wish there were a few more dish towels for the kitchen as well as paper towels. We made every meal while staying. The local stands have the best fruit and vegetables.Mahalo.
We rented both sides of this duplex and it was perfect! So clean and spacious! We had a great time! Great isolated location but close to volcano and Hilo! We’d definitely stay here again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, towels and everything we needed for a successful stay. The house is centrally located between Hilo and Volcano National Park. The skies are so clear Star gazing is amazing.
Natasha & Yaro were the best Hosts ever. Their home was pristine, fully equiped and in a great, quiet peaceful setting. Will certainly be staying with them on our next visit to the Big Island!!!!
Beautiful spacious home tucked away 30 minutes from Hilo and 30 minutes from the Volcano National Park. We traveled the entire island and enjoyed the cool and quiet climate of this home. Listing very accurate with lots of space. Directions to home and access was on point.
Great quiet home in between Hilo and the National Park
Clean home, comfortable beds, quiet property. Hosts were very kind and even brought some cookie sheets/glass pan for us to use in cooking (looks like they got misplaced). A great spot away from Hilo but doesn’t feel too remote and super close to the national park!
very nice and peaceful. appreciated the condiments and kitchen equipment.
