Experience the charm of historic downtown Waynesville with a stay at this lovingly restored upstairs guest suite—just three blocks from Main Street. This bright and inviting apartment blends modern comfort with mountain history and sits on the beautiful Shelton House property, part of the Museum of NC Handicrafts, surrounded by 4+ acres of rolling hills and mountain views.
THE SPACE
Located above the Museum of NC Handicrafts Gift Shop, this cozy suite is ideal for couples or small families. Though compact, it’s thoughtfully designed and fully equipped for a comfortable stay.
Accommodations:
• 1 king bedroom
• 1 queen bedroom
• 1 full bathroom
• Comfortable living area with ample seating, TV, and board games
• Compact kitchenette with essentials, coffee pods, and starter supplies
• Washer/dryer (downstairs, separate access upon request)
Enjoy scenic views of the Hart Theater, Saturday Farmers Market, and Smoky Mountains from the suite’s many windows.

• Roku TV for Netflix, Hulu, YouTubeTV, etc. (log into your own accounts)

The main house, constructed in 1875 by Stephen Shelton, is now home to the Museum of NC Handicrafts, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and featuring one of the finest folk art collections in the Southeast.
