About this property
The Hull House - Lake Ontario Waterfront w Sauna
Summary: Perched atop a picturesque limestone shelf on the shores of Lake Ontario, just 4 kilometres west of Wellington, is the Hull House. A thoughtfully curated County Lakehouse that boasts an infinite view of blue waters and ever changing skies. Ideally located at the centre of Prince Edward County’s web of vibrant restaurants and wineries, the Hull House offers 200 + feet of private lake frontage, 2 acres of land, a sauna and many luxuries for your well deserved vacation.
The Space: This home is fully licensed per Prince Edward County bylaws (ST-2020-0099) to host 8 adults and up to 2 children under the age of 10.
The Hull House’s colourfully rustic yet refined modern interiors are inviting and cozy. As you walk into the home, your shoulders instinctively drop and you can see the incredible view from every vantage point. While the warm white walls, wood tones, and textile palette remain very simple and calming throughout the Hull House, it’s the mix of vintage pieces, county-inspired paintings, and pops of colour that draw the eye (when not captivated entirely by the view, of course).
There is no corner in the Hull House that is left unconsidered. From large sectionals, luxury king-size beds, custom ensuites, accent chairs, soft & colourful rugs, soaring views, and carefully curated treasures, the many spaces in the holiday home don’t shy away from extravagance and County comforts.
KITCHEN & DINING AREA A fully equipped, beautifully renovated kitchen is at the heart of the home so you can continue to entertain while preparing your meals on the days that you choose not to explore the local wine/food culture. Guests will be first to offer up doing the dishes as the view from the sink might be the best one.
MAIN FLOOR LIVING AREA Pick your favourite seat on the large sectional and decide whether to enjoy the view, the fireplace, whichever show you’re binging, or visit with the chefs of your crew in the kitchen. In this living room, you’re at the centre of all the action and always flooded with natural light.
BEDROOMS 3 King Sized Beds on the Top Floor w/ Private Ensuites 1 Queen & Twin Bunk Beds in the Basement - The Bunk Cabin 1 Murphy Bed in the Main Floor Study
STUDY & WORK FROM HOME SPACE A private office is tucked away at the main entryway and features a wood-burning fireplace, cozy reading nook, and a murphy bed.
OUTDOOR AREAS Enjoy 2 acres of land to yourself and your guests, 200 + feet of private lake frontage. On the back deck we have an 8 person barrel sauna with panoramic view, sunken deck, and fire pit. Enjoy a walk around the private pond that used to be a watering hole for animals when this land was used as a farm many years ago.
The sunken deck has a staircase down to Lake Ontario where you can swim off of the limestone shelf. The water is accessible between late May and early October. Please note that there is a roughly 10' drop off the back edge of the property with no guard rails.
LOCATION You couldn't ask for a better location in the County. Between the view, your location, and the thoughtfully curated interiors - you couldn't dream up a better getaway home in the County.
Guest Access: One enters the building into a thoughtfully designed mudroom (fit for dropping all your belongings at the door) where then you step in to the open concept kitchen, living and dining room. The focal point of the entire home, though, is the soaring sights of a seemingly infinite lake to sky view that can be taken in from every vantage point of the home. Once you’ve taken in your first basking of the view you can then journey through the Hull House taking in every curated corner.

The Hull House was exactly what we wanted for 4 couples spending 4 days in Prince Edward County. The house was clean, comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. We visited 3 wineries and 3 Breweries but it was so nice to come home to the beautiful view the Hull House had to offer. Thank you Parker for all your help in making it happen for us.
We were impressed with all aspects of the house and property, especially enjoying quiet time on the lakeside deck, and gazing at the clear night skies and full moon. It was a perfect time of year as the vacationers were gone but all amenities open for business. This trip up we went to new and familiar wineries. Keint-He just across the road from Hull House has exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Headed to other favourites like Cressys, County Cider, Fifth Town and had a parting breakfast in Amelia’s Garden. Altogether a great trip - next time we will stay longer!
Our stay was so tranquil and relaxing , just what the doctor ordered , for two very busy friends, who have a hard time connecting with crazy schedules. The views were all stunning from the house , the lake , a winery, Sandbanks in the distance.
Our party was several adults, one tween and two children.
The house is very well appointed and suited to large groups. The kitchen is both high end (well outfitted to prepare any meal you can think of) and it also includes children friendly dishes and cutlery. Great for family meals around the large dining room table!
Enjoyed the games and the pool table
The view is stunning. Lovely place to stay
This was our second stay at Hull House and we really lucked out with a beautiful, warm Fall weekend! My husband and two daughters ages 15, 12yrs old wandered around Pumkinfest in Wellington. We had tacos at La Condesa. Dinners at The Royal and Gather. We lounged in the sun on the back deck and read books. Went running and even did a cold plunge in the lake! We wanted to stay longer! Great spot, highly recommend.
This house is spectacular. If you are looking for a rental that is modern, spotless, fully equipped, cozy with multiple bedrooms all with private ensuites AND waterfront views, then this is the place for you.
Just minutes from Wellington, Picton and numerous vineyards The Hull House has it all.
Parker is an excellent communicator and ensures
that your stay is memorable- right down to the bag of coffee beans and a bottle of sparkling wine. His attention to detail is superb. Perfect for a family or friends gathering. Highly recommended. I rarely give out 5 star ratings but this one deserves it.
My husband and our two daughters ages 12, 15yrs old stayed at Hull House for 4 nights. What a relaxing getaway! The house is beautiful and spacious. We really enjoyed the various seating areas to relax and enjoy the water views. We brought our paddleboard as well which was fun. We could go running on the side roads in the morning and then cool off in the lake. So close to town as well. We had some amazing meals at Gather (Wander the Resort), Flame and Smith, Tacos at La Condesa, and lunch at the Drake. We also bbq'd a few nights at the house. I took the girls to Sandbanks one morning while my husband had to work (the office is a great set up for remote work). Sandbanks was so busy, we quickly retreated back to Hull House to enjoy the privacy! Thanks for a wonderful 'staycation'. We will be back.
OMG! My friends and I celebrated our 18th Girls' Weekend and The Hull House provided the most AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL space for this celebration. Everything was so clean, and well organized! The beds and bedding were 'top notch' - everyone slept so well! The view ( sunrise/sunset) from the deck was stunning ~ the weather cooperated so we were able to enjoy time outside ! The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinners and breakfasts! The great room and fireplace was so cozy and enough room for all 7 of us to sit comfortably!
The hosts left us a bag of coffee and a bottle wine - which was very sweet. We will DEFINITELY be back as this was by far the BEST VRBO we have stayed at in the last 10 years.
THANK YOU ! BOOK THIS HOUSE - you won't be disappointed!
