Charming, cozy cabin with open floor plan in Riverbend sleeps 5-6 comfortably. Two private lakes, private beach and river access. Front and rear decks for enjoying the beautiful scenery, gathering with family and friends, or savoring a quiet moment on the front porch swing! Outdoor propane firepit and indoor fireplace for cool evenings. Take advantage of all that Lake Lure and nearby Rutherford County have to offer -- restaurants, fishing, swimming, hiking, ziplining and SO MUCH MORE!! PLEASE NOTE: As of Feb 2025, Lake Lure itself is closed to boating and swimming while it undergoes dredging post Hurricane Helene. Most Lake Lure restaurants and shops are open for business, however, and will appreciate your support!

AMAZING!! This our third trip to this cabin, but our first two week trip. To say it was relaxing and everything we hoped for would be an understatement! Noreen is an amazing host, provides more than you could even expect, and the cabin is simply amazing. We have always traveled with two adults, but if we needed to add more family, it would not be an issue. I cannot say more about this host or the cabin! We are looking forward to renting this cabin many more times in the future!

Clean and comfortable cabin. Kitchen had everything we needed. The drive to the cabin was a little intimidating at first because of the winding, steep drive. That is also ,however, what added to the charm. Would love to visit again during the summer. Noreen was always quick to get right back to us if I had any questions. The cabin was perfect. Comfy, clean and perfect for us and the dogs. Yard is fenced. Enjoy time at fire pit while they explored the yard. Fully stocked with linens, toiletries. Kitchen had all you needed, just bring food. Spices and all waiting for you. Great front and back porch views. Can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend JR’s Cabin.

A cabin away from home

JR'S Cabin is a wonderful getaway for a couple or small group. Located in River Bend, it is charming, comfortable, well appointed, and the owners have made it dog friendly with a secure fence around the property. It is minutes from Lake Lure and a short drive to Rutherfordton, NC. We have stayed at other properties in the area, but JR's Cabin is our favorite and definitely one we will return to.

Perfect family vacation

We stayed here for a long weekend with our young girls and dog. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. The short drive to the lake access in the neighborhood was our favorite aspect. The drive to Lake Lure Beach and Chimney Rock Village is short. The porch with bench swing was such a relaxing place to enjoy the quiet and nature. I wish we had stayed longer! Will definitely be back.

Wonderful week in the mountains

House was clean and more beautiful in person than on the listing. All supplies we needed such as paper towels, toilet paper, towels, and soap were fully stocked. Our puppies enjoyed running around in the fenced in yard. Overall it was a great trip

Our family has owned JR's Cabin since 2015, and we have made a lot of wonderful memories there! It is named for our family patriarch, "JR McCoy." We retired to North Carolina from Tennessee in 2022, bought our "forever home" nearby, and wanted to offer others the chance to make some memories of their own in our little slice of heaven in the woods. Relax, set awhile on the front porch, breathe deeply ... and ENJOY!
