COMMUNITY AMENITIES: Lake access w/ beach, beach chairs, picnic tables, forest trails, waterfall, 3 gazebos

Downtown Lake Lure, and Chimney Rock Park are each 2.5 miles away, and Asheville is a beautiful 45 minute drive away. Our favorite hike, Party Rock, can be accessed walking from our cabin and Chimney Rock State Park (Climber's ultimate playground) is only 1 mile from our cabin!

SPECIAL NOTE: This is not a new listing! We previously had this listed under a property manager, however, upon leaving that relationship, we lost our reviews and ratings which were an excellent 5 stars.

NOTE: This is a non-smoking/non-vaping property. NO smoking, or vaping allowed in the cabin or on the porch. Violators will be charged an additional cleaning fee and potentially additional charges should we need to block dates to sufficiently clean and air out smoke odor.

Only the number of guests listed on the reservation are permitted on the premises unless there is prior approval, in writing, from the Hosts.

Pets: We charge $75 pet fee for a maximum of 2 pets. Pets should be well-behaved and house broken. If there is damage due to the pet(s), additional fees may be charged.

About the host

Hosted by Paul and Teri Hamel

Host profile image
Paul and Teri call Orlando, FL home, although, Lake Lure is our "home-away-from-home".
Paul retired early after serving Orange County as a Firefighter for over 32 1/2 years and Teri retired from the Walt Disney Company in early 2024 after 46 1/2 years of service. We both loved our careers, but have adjusted to retirement beautifully!
We love the great outdoors, especially hiking, skiing (water and snow), paddle boarding, boating, and even sitting on the porch swing watching the birds and bees flutter around.

Why they chose this property

We have been visiting Lake Lure Village Resort regularly since 1988, the year we married. We fell in love with the area. After all these years, the opportunity to own our “little piece of Heaven in the Mountains” presented itself in July 2021. The ability to work remotely with my job at Disney and Paul’s retirement from the fire service were contributing factors.
When here, we enjoy the amenities of this community & breathing fresh mountain air!
