Contemporary oceanfront home - on Nantucket Sound and directly across from Thacher Town Beach in South Yarmouth. Situated on a spacious manicured corner lot with a fantastic front yard for sunning and sea-gazing, and a huge back yard perfect for kids, games and tons of outside activities!

Watch the sunrise over the ocean from the three season enclosed porch. Additional sleep quarters are available in the bunkhouse, which is attached to the rear of the property and equipped with a TV and easy hook up to video games, Wii, etc. Window air conditioners when needed. Home is equipped with everything you need to enjoy your summer vacation. Summer season one week minimum available, off season weekend and weekly rates available after Labor Day. Off season requires a three night minimum stay.

This is the perfect home to create summer memories with family and friends, and an ideal spot for holidays or weekend getaways off season!

Perfect Family Vacation Spot

The location could not be better, steps away from a nice town beach and a big yard for lawn games. The large rooms & front porch gave us plenty of space inside and the bunk house was a very nice surprise. The kitchen was well equipped including the washer/dryer, and beach chairs & toys were also provided. It was very easy to communicate with Traci before and during our stay. We really loved it and have already booked for next summer!

Great house/location

Our only issue is bunk house smelled like pot. Kids didn’t want to sleep there even after we tried to air it out! That being said ,house was great! We loved it and would definitely book again. Thank you!

Wonderful property, location, and owners!

We spent an amazing 2 weeks at this property and it was everything we could have hoped for and more! Leading up to our stay, owner Traci was wonderful in terms of communication to answer any questions we had and went above and beyond to get us an extra key the week leading up to our stay despite post-office challenges. You can see the ocean from the front porch, which is a great way to spend each morning and all the bedrooms are quite spacious to accommodate adults and additional children/pack-and-plays. The kitchen is well-stocked with supplies needed for cooking and grilling. The yard is large, which is great for post-beach trips with young kids. We loved everything about this house and will definitely be renting again :)

Great Location!

Pros: Location right across from a little beach! Walking to beach any time day or night was priceless! Space and layout of house great...3 nice bedrooms, big dining table, nice kitchen fully stocked with pots, dishes, appliances, and we absolutely loved the sun porch! Outdoor shower was great, big yard for the kids with bunnies everywhere! Laundry was so convenient right there in house. Owners were so friendly, helpful, and responsive. Even had some beach toys and chairs in the garage for guests to use. Lots to do in town and being mid cape, close to everything! . Cons: The only downside is that the house felt a little bit run down in some ways. The screen doors were broken, shower curtain mildewy, some vents rusted (one covered with foil from kitchen), some window blinds broken and dusty, carpet throughout so holds that musty smell (but only if air conditioners aren’t on), a windowsill was peeling and looked to be rotting, and inside paint is dirty/worn. Cleaning company could have done a little better with vacuuming the cobwebs on ceiling (couple dead spiders on wall/ceiling). To be clear though, I don’t think the house was left “dirty”.... the kitchen had clearly been freshly cleaned for us, there were fresh new pillows in bedrooms, comforters on beds were freshly laundered, etc. The owners really were wonderful to work with. For the price and location...ocean view, hear the waves, walk to beach...it is a great house. With just a few inexpensive updates (screen doors, blinds, shower curtains) maybe some fresh paint, and a talk with cleaning company to pay attention to ceilings/walls, I would have given this property a 4 or even 5 star review. None of these cosmetic issues took away from the wonderful time we had.

August vacation

This home was everything we were looking for, and Traci was so easy to work with. There was a problem with the home cleaning, and when we mentioned it to Traci, she immediately called the cleaner and sent them back until it was cleaned to our satisfaction. After that, it was terrific, and we look forward to staying there again next summer. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay on Cape Cod.

Best Location!

This was a great house; lots of room and everything you could possibly need! It was bigger than we needed but we wanted to be somewhere that we could walk to the beach in one minute…a really lazy 4 days! We love this area and have stayed in the neighboring hotels most summers. The owners were great to deal with. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect spot to relax

This was our first vacation as a family in 2 years. We loved everything about this house. Beautiful view of the ocean from the porch or Adirondacks in front yard where we enjoyed our morning coffee. All amenities are provided except for sheets and towels, which wasnt a problem at all. The beach is a short walk just across the street, maybe a couple hundred feet! Skippers restaurant is a short walk as well, its a local favorite for seafood. Traci was great every step of the way. We will definitely be back!!

First time VRBOer

We have never rented anything through VRBO before so we were relieved that the homeowner made the process easy and painless. Great communication, easy to work with, clean house, great location next to the beach and ferries to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely rent again.

Great location

This house had just about everything we needed (with the exception of garbage bags and paper towels). The location is fantastic. We went in late September so the little beach across the street was pretty empty. Can’t say it was one of the nicest beaches on the cape but it was enough for my 4 year old to enjoy and can’t beat walking to and from the house. The house is a typical beach house and felt very spacious. I loved sitting on the Adirondack chairs out front with my coffee each morning. We did take out every night and there were some good restaurants close by. Also mini golf right up the street for the kids. Overall it was a good trip and we’d def stay there again.

Great spot for our family vacation

Great Family beach home

Our 3 gerational family of 6 adults and 3 children found this beach property very accommodating. Clean, roomy bedrooms and living area and a great screened in porch with a view of the ocean. A lovely sandy public beach is across the street, and the well-tended large yard was great for frisbee and soccer. An outdoor shower came in handy too. The bunk room would be best for older children or adults and has no bathroom, but we managed with no problems. We will consider another stay!

Enjoying the good times

Everyday, people coming or going to the beach would ask how we got so lucky to be right in front of the beach. I'd answer «We chose well!». Through homeAway, we found this beautiful home for our vacations. The pictures looked good. The location too. Communications with the owners were perfect. Too bad we never got to meet them in person. Their home is just the perfect vacation spot. We were 6, four adults and two kids, and the three bedrooms made it a perfect stay. Bed were good and the nights pretty quiet. With a view directly on the Nantucket sound, from the front yard or the summer lounge in front, and a cute semi-private beach just in front, where there were never too many people, all was ideal. The beach is really ten steps away. We'd go swim without towels. And the outdoor shower was so useful for washing away salt and sand. Note that the water is quite warm and, somedays, has a bit of alga floating around in it. The house has a good kitchen with gas stove, dishwasher, and all that is needed. Plenty of room in the backyard to hold a BBQ feast and play frisbee. There are many attractions nearby, for kids and grown-ups: mini-golf, karting and arcades; shops and beautiful sceneries. And even an excellent seafood restaurant at walking distance. All in all, we had a multi-generation vacation that was exactly what we hoped for and more. Thank you. We will go back!

Great vacation house!

We recently stayed at this home (7/13/13-7/20/13) for a family vacation and had a wonderful time. We had 2 adults and 4 teenagers and there was enough room that everyone had their own space. This was our first trip to Cape Cod and this home is nicely located. We never had to drive more than 45 minutes to see any of the sights. This may still seem like a lot of driving but the Cape is very spread out and driving is quite slow. There are plenty of nice and inexpensive restaurants close by. You simply have to walk across one road and you are at a lovely beach. Our week there was incredibly hot, but the window A/C units in each of the bedrooms made sleeping very comfortable. The house had just about everything we needed, but no hair dryer (which was an issue for 3 teenage girls!). Some of the furnishings could be updated. There is a lovely porch with a great view of the ocean, but the chairs were rather uncomfortable to sit in. The living room sofa was a bit worn. But none of this took away from our stay. If we ever decide to return to Cape Cod, we would definitely want to stay in this home again.

Oceanfront Charmer

We recently spent a week (6/15/13-6/22/13) at this lovely property. What a find! It's not always an easy decision to pick a place over the internet but I'm so glad we did. We were visiting the Cape for the first time from California with our two children (9 & 7) and meeting my sister and brother in-law for a mini-reunion. We were not disappointed! The house was lovely! It was very clean and comfortable. There were all the things we needed in order to cook and relax (a lot more relaxing than cooking). The house is right across the street from the ocean and centrally located to many other beaches and fun destinations. There is a great restaurant & ice cream shop within walking distance (Skipper's). The kid's loved Pirate's Cove for miniature golfing, and all the local beaches were beautiful and very clean. We went everywhere from Falmouth to Provincetown and loved everything in between. This was one of our very best family vacations and I know that much of that is due to the wonderful location and accommodations of this charming rental. It embodied our visions and expectations of the Cape perfectly.

Great location

Once again we enjoyed our stay in Yarmouth. We love the location of the house and love being able to have friends stay nearby at one of the hotels. The Beach House, across the street, staff are a little difficult since they complain about parking, even of their own guests. But once I explained to the homeowner that no one visiting us was parking at the Beach House unless they were staying there, he understood. Also, the homeowner was very responsive to any questions or needs he had.

Hi, My brother, sister-in-law and I are actually co-owners of this home. Like many natives of Massachusetts, we spent many summers on the Cape as kids and so have a natural (if not genetic) attachment. We'd been vacationing together with friends and family in this area of Yarmouth and each visit brought on the usual discussion of how great it would be to own a place of our own to share with friends and family over the years. We'd admired this house for years and had written it off as a out of our range. But we dropped in on a whim last winter when we were looking and, well, through some alignment of the stars it worked out for us to buy into this beautiful adventure! Why they chose this property

This is an ideal location. Very quiet and residential. There are a few nice hotels in the neighborhood that enhance the area - they're great for when extra company comes for a visit, and at least one (a nice walk down the beach) rent kayaks, boat rides, etc. There is a great local restaurant (Skipper's) within walking distance, which is really convenient if you don't feel like cooking or driving for a dinner out. It's also great to sit on the outdoor porch overlooking the sea to grab a lunchtime lobster roll! The house is an easy walk (5 minutes) to the jetty at Parker's River, which is a great place for fishing with the kids at the end of the beach day. Of course once in the car nothing is far. Three terrific golf courses nearby. Hyannis with shopping, dining and other attractions. We've really enjoyed the JFK Museum there. Nearby Route 28 has everything any one could ever need in terms of grocery shopping, restaurants, etc., etc.

What makes this property unique

We enjoy...sun, sunrise over the Sound, sunsets over the river, playing in the yard (still can't believe how big this is front and back!), having a coffee and reading the papers on the sun porch in the morning with the sun dancing on the sea, having a drink on the lawn after a day at the beach, walking on the beach, gold weekends, beachcombing, outdoor barbecues, planning our next trip to the Cape...!
