Wright Place, Wright Time!

Modern beach cottage, steps away from the soft sands of the Atlantic Ocean

Located just steps from the ocean and close to great local shops and restaurants, you’ll immerse yourself in the Outer Banks lifestyle in no time. This updated 4-bedroom, 2-bath modern beach cottage in Kitty Hawk has everything you need for your time in Outer Banks including lots of indoor and outdoor hangout space, a large yard, and line of sight to the ocean.

Whether you’re in the mood to relax or play, there’s lots of opportunities for fun outside, with a covered front porch and a spacious rear sun deck with the sounds of the ocean as your soundtrack and views overlooking the large backyard. You’ll be a short stroll (4-5 minutes) from the beach and minutes away from beachfront dining and entertainment.

Guest Access
4- bedroom, 2- bathroom house with front and back porches. Inside you’ll find a tv in every room equipped with YouTube TV, 1G high speed internet for WiFi and streaming, along with plenty of board games to play. Outside there are two seating areas available while you take advantage of your choice of propane or charcoal grill. In the front you can relax under cover and enjoy the sunset in the distance to the West. Out back there is seating for everyone as you overlook the large back yard and listen to the ocean.

Fill the day with fun in the back yard while you enjoy the volleyball net and horseshoes. Or open up the outdoor storage closet and set up spike ball or Kan Jam.

We had a blast on Memorial Day weekend. The weather was perfect and it was only a short walk to the beach for our toddlers. The house was very accommodating for our families, and we would definitely stay here again. The host was wonderful, and they checked in to see if we needed anything from time to time during our stay.

Perfectly lovely cottage home

The Wright Place, Wright time was the perfect spot to begin our family vacation in OBX, we stayed there for two nights then continued on our way to Hatteras. The home was comfortable, cozy, perfect for what we needed. The beach was easily accessed. I would definitely stay here again. The hosts were easy to communicate with and we were all very satisfied with our stay!

Fun Beach Getaway

We had a great time on our trip. We shared the house with another family. The beach access is close, and the house has plenty of amenities to keep a family entertained (grill, outdoor seating, volley ball court, etc). We had a wonderful vacation and would definitely stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Wright Place. The house was clean, comfortable and had a great “beach house” vibe. We loved the glider on the back deck - an excellent way to relax. We especially loved being able to walk to the beach in 5 minutes and we appreciated all the beach items available for use (cart, chairs, floats, boogie boards etc). The kitchen was well equipped and we made good use of it as well as of the gas grill.

We felt at home and like we could relax from the moment we arrived. We loved how spacious, clean and comfortable the home was, with so many little touches. The owners truly care about and take pride in their home. The packaged towels, the first aid kit under the sink, starter packs of dishwasher and laundry pods - everything they did enhanced our stay. Felt like Home Away From home

One of the sweetest vrbo's we have had the pleasure to stay in. Easy access to the beach, close to shopping etc. The process was simple and easy to work with owners. They have a sweet, clean, open floorplan and decorated with comfortable decor. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of dishes, pans, utensils etc. Outdoor items were a pleasant surprise. We didnt need for much of anything. Thank you for helping us make our vacation even that much better with your sweet home.

Spacious property, clean and well kept - well integrated devices and wireless access, easy streaming to multiple devices in different rooms. Great kitchen, good propane grill- note that the listed charcoal grill is a square open-top like found in a park or campsite, not an enclosed or fully contained. Fully serviceable, just unexpected. Property perfectly suited to groups including kids - bunk room with queen beds worked for our 8 adults group, but would be better suited for group with kids. Even Better Than Expected!

This property is in an ideal location -- short drive in either direction to major attractions and right in the heart of amazing food and beaches! The street is far enough from the main roads to feel safe walking/biking, and the neighborhood is lively but quiet. The house is just as clean, classy, and homey as it appears in the listing. Exceeding our expectations were: (a) the size of the bunkbeds - both queen on top and bottom - totaling 5 queen or larger beds in the house! (b) the welcoming supplies provided by the owners (beach towels, plush shower towels, a couple of laundry pods and dishwasher pods, etc.); (c) the beach supplies (wagon, chairs, floaties, boogie boards); and (d) an outdoor shower to rinse off all that sand! Our family had the trip of a lifetime and made amazing memories on this vacation. Thank you!

Clean, convenient, but not equipped with all that was needed

This beach house was conveniently located close to the beach, within walking distance. Awesome! The set up of the home was ideal for all of our family with the sleeping and bathrooms on each side, leaving the hang and kitchen space in the middle. So fun! It was clean and we loved the outdoor chair space to sit and hang out at each evening. Beautiful. The reason I only gave a 4 star review was because of three things. 1. The tub plugs to fill up both tubs were gone, making it impossible to give out grandkids baths each night. This was frustrating. 2. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom as well as 1 garbage bag for the garbage. For what I paid, I would have expected to have had at least supplies for a few days. Instead, we had to head to the store to purchase all of the supplies I thought the house would have covered. 3. The most frustrating thing was that there was not a working can opener in the kitchen. There was one, but part of it was missing, making it impossible to use. I borrowed one one night from the neighbor next door, but then had to run to Target to buy one for the next night. I mean really? Btw, I took it with me, so if you choose this rental, bring your own. Besides that, the individually wrapped towels were very nice, although it would have been nice to have a few extra. Overall, it was a great stay and super convenient to the ocean.
