Ohana Cabin | WiFi, Wood Stove, AC, Hot tub

Welcome to the historic Ohana cabin in Packwood WA! In the 1930's, this charming cabin was built for visitors to the Ohanapecosh Hot Springs in Mt. Rainier National Park. When the hot springs resort closed in 1966, the cabin was transported to the woods of Packwood WA, where it remains today as sort of a mini resort.

The cabin interior is rustic, but it boasts plenty of amenities that make for a comfortable stay. Let us know if you have any questions. We look forward to hosting you!

-Smart TV for streaming (guests need to have their own streaming accounts)
There is no cable or satellite TV. Only streaming apps.

The cabin is situated in a small vacation town of Packwood, Washington. Its remote location and small-town charm offer a wonderful ambiance and a place to relax and refresh. Occasionally, you may be greeted by wandering herds of elks. They are very friendly and visitors enjoy seeing them in person.

Packwood's remote location suggest you should arrive with your own vehicle which will allow you to visit and explore everything the region has to offer.

During the summer a burn ban may go into effect in all of Lewis County. During this time campfires, the use of charcoal briquettes, and any other form of burning may be prohibited.

Winters in Packwood may get very snowy. It is the guest's responsibility to be properly equipped for harsh winter driving conditions. We do our best to keep our cabins accessible, but winter traction tires and 4-wheel drive may still be required.

This was a nice place to stay while hiking in Mt Rainier. Had to get used to climbing a ladder to go to bed. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub after hiking all day. Overall no complaints.

Rustic cabin that fit our family of 4 perfectly. Kids slept in the loft, parents in the camper. Loved the hot tub and old records..."frank frank frank". Cooked hotdogs the first night on the gas grill because the restaurant in packwood was over run. Close to Mt Rainier.

Darling cabin! Very well stocked with everything I could possibly need for my stay. Quiet area with quiet neighbors, perfect for a hiker needing good zzz’s after long days in the park! The porch/deck looked like it would be amazing to watch sunsets from but I was gone until well after dark each night.The cedar hot tub looked so inviting but honestly I spent so much time in Rainier, I never did have time to use it! The record player was so fun. There were games and puzzles and books as well. The location was very close to the main part of Packwood, easy to get to morning coffee and to grab a drink in town. Also incredibly close to the park entrance. I was sad Sunrise was closed due to the fires but the hosts have a binder full of recommended hikes. I’d love to return with my family to really enjoy the property next time!

Although this cabin had cute decor, it unfortunately had some serious issues. We kept hearing scratching sounds in the house, and eventually found rat feces!! We had to leave early and sleep elsewhere because of it. Additionally, the house had multiple areas that seemed unsafe or concerning-such as nails sticking out of the wall near the bed and walls that had open gaps/missing planks (leading to large empty spaces where we heard rats).

I’m giving 2 starts ! first we got there at 3pm and they told us to come back 20-30min because there were cleaning it , we gave then 40min when we got there we notice that it was not as clean as we expected ! There’s was only one decent pot to cook, the rest need to be replace and all The faucets were dripping water, the one that gave us the hardest time was the shower it gave us 10 min to regulate the water , Pictures from the website are out of date .

Cozy Cabin Getaway

We stayed at the cabin to celebrate an anniversary and have close access to Mt Rainier and it was perfect for exactly this. Rustic and cozy. The cedar hot tub was especially lovely!

A log cabin with perks

A lovely stay with the kids (in the van!). Hot tub in the afternoon was lovely, coffee a plenty and peace and quiet guaranteed. Close to the national park for hikes and Packwood for great ice creams and beer.

This is a cute and clean place to stay. We stayed with our dog and two teenage kids and the layout of the cabin plus camper was user friendly and spacious enough. Loved the record player and hearing the elk at night. We did a bit of cooking and found the kitchen was sufficiently outfitted. There were nice places to hang out inside and out, and the hot tub was also really good. Also loved the hammock down the path in back.

Great location

Great stay in Packwood! Comfortable and quaint property in historic cabin. Has most things you should need. Hot tub and access to club was a bonus. We stayed there over the 4th and town of Packwood put on an awesome firework display! Love the area, thank you for the stay.

Over all we really loved it

The only down side would be the lack of description on very steep - narrow stairs up to the bed- I had a knee surgery last year and my husband is 6’4 so it was interesting… other than that we loved the property.

Cozy, peaceful and pet friendly

We enjoyed this cozy cabin, great place to come home to after a long day of exploring, or to stay in and relax on a rainy day. We enjoyed some evenings around the fire pit, and it was a treat to soak in the hot tub which was well maintained and clean. We spent half our nights in the camper which was nice to feel a bit closer to nature. Our dog enjoyed his stay too, this is one of the most dog-friendly vacation rentals we’ve stayed at!

Lovely little cabin

Really enjoyed my stay here. I especially loved the fireplace, which kept the entire cabin warm and cozy in 30-40 degree weather and provided excellent ambiance. I only wish there were drapes—as a woman traveling alone it would’ve made me feel safer to know no one can look in. It’s fairly tucked away despite close proximity to other cabins though, and I didn’t have any troubles while I was there. Overall I would recommend this spot to small groups or solo travelers looking for a quiet getaway.

Overall wonderful time

There’s a giant froggy living in the hot tub, the ropes were funny, I liked them. Maybe add a leg rest for legs when watching tv
