A nicely renovated home with all the amenities you need for a multi-day stay away from home. We visited the first weekend of October and were treated to some nice weather and great scenery with fall colors coming into peak. We made day trips to Stowe and Woodstock areas and both were nice driving distance. Host Alyssa was prompt to answer any questions we had.
The house was newly renovated and was perfect for our occasion. The only negative comment is that it is right on the main road and the road noise in the front bedroom was significant starting around 530 in the morning.
Other than that it was perfect.
PROs: Communication and check in were quick and easy. The finishes on the interior were very nice, and it was an easy drive off the expressway. The heater warmed the house up quickly.
CONs: The floors creaked - a lot.The beds were Purple knock-offs, on a metal frame (no box spring). The master bedroom was directly above the 3rd bedroom and adjacent to the 2nd bedroom. Combine all three of those facts, and, if you're a couple hoping for some quiet Adult Time after the kids go to bed, well, it ain't happening. The house is also on a busy main road, so there were cars constantly passing by, even in the dead of night. The house appears to have been recently flipped, and perhaps the owners aren't quite accustomed to VRBO life yet. While the interior was beautiful, little things I've come to expect from a VRBO property were missing, like shower gel or soap, extra blankets, and bedside lamps. We also were required to transport our trash down the road to a business and place the trash in a dumpster in the rear of the business, which I found a little .... odd.
