We stayed here for Norwich University’s Family Weekend and had a fantastic experience. The interior was exactly as pictured—spacious, clean, and full of character. The exterior photo differed from the actual house, which caused brief confusion, but everything inside met expectations. Built in 1838, the home has charming quirks like uneven floors and steep stairs, which added character and were manageable—even for my mother who uses a cane. The master bathroom was uniquely designed and memorable. Backyard access from bedrooms was tricky—one door had a drop, the other was blocked by brush. Landscaping and lighting could be improved, especially near the porch and driveway, which was very dark at night. Check-in was smooth with clear instructions. The house comfortably fit our group of eight. The extra room with twin daybeds was perfect for my sons, and my niece used a trundle bed. Upstairs rooms were clean and cozy, each with a double bed. The kitchen was welcoming with coffee and snacks, and the dining room was a great gathering spot. The back porch had lovely views—we even saw deer! Though backyard steps were uneven, the scenery was worth it. After years of staying in various towns for Family Weekend, I wish we’d found this home sooner. Its charm and proximity to Norwich made it a standout. I hope it’s available for graduation in May!
Do not stay here. The floors are uneven and dangerous. The loft is boarded off and we saw moldy mattresses just tossed in there. The house has a mildew smell. There are not enough lights so every room is extremely dark. The microwave cut off as it was overheated. The Ninja didn't work. The upstairs shower didn't work and the upstairs toilet didn't flush properly. The bizarre contraption in the main bathroom was scary - it's an all in one molded shower, tub, sink and hobbit toilet was the strangest set up we've ever seen. The property was 'clean' so kudos to the cleaning crew given what they have to work with. Oh, and we were given the wrong entry code which was frustrating standing in the pouring rain and having to rummage through papers looking for the contact # to get the correct or secondary code. This is such a a pity as the location is ideal but our stay in this property was just miserable.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We took over for another company and should have waited!! The owner is overseas and was in a hurry to get started. We have replaced the toilet, microwave and blender. The shower is working. It is an old farmhouse with a quirky bathroom but we love the charm and are making upgrades daily.
