This is a great area, handy to all Silver Lake has to offer! Then come back to a peaceful wooded area to relax and enjoy a campfire! Great experience!

You are almost to Awesome.
Overall it was a good experience. The outside did not have the lighting that was in the pictures. The fridge inside the camper did not work. Also, the pull out bed is really broken down.
The location was great for us. There just seems to need to be a couple tweaks and it would be awesome.

The RV was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Great fire pit and location! I would recommend bringing sheets if you have seven people. There were enough sheets for two people in our party - but we had sleeping bags so it wasn’t a big deal. It’s a private camping spot with three other campers near by - so nice to have a camp ground feel without tons of people. Very nice spot close to everything. Very clean. We really did enjoy it!
It was great. I only rated communication a 4 because our phones didn’t work at the camper, so when I’d message the owner or get a message back from the owner ,we wouldn’t be at the camper. This was a little difficult, but they say Wi-Fi is coming soon, so this will help with that problem. We would definitely stay there again if we’re ever in that area.
Had problems with the gray water draining. Drain pipe was cracked
Shower was full of standing water upon our departure.
There was a sewer smell when we arrived
If I am going to be charged for extra people I expect enough amenities for them also. We paid for eight people and amenities were for five.
Had to pay a cleaning fee, and they told us to strip the beds.
Too many fees

Disappointed
Knowing that we were camping, I didnt have super high expectations, but expected more than what we got.
Refrigerator was not working, which is a huge inconvenience when you bring grocries with you, expecting to keep them cold.
The shower leaked/flooded the camper each time we needed to shower. Mind you, there were 6 of us. We mopped up water and rung out large towles mutiple times for each quick (and cold) shower.
We also were informed at 9am, while packing up to leave that dishes needed to be done (previously it was just that the trash needed to be taken out) but the sink was clogged and drained very slow, so i could not even wash any dishes, including things we brought with us that we had to bring home dirty.
Communication with the owner was very little if any at all. We expressed our issues with no resolution for any of them. We were told it would be taken care of after we leave.
The setting and location was nice, but I would not stay at this specific camper again.
My family had a great trip! The camper is conveniently located just a few miles from Silver Lake and the Sand Dunes. The campsite is very private with lots of privacy and room for parking trailers. There are only 3 other campers on the property, plus 1 house. The camper is now under a big overhang with a built on deck, which was a nice touch! It's fully stocked with many kitchen items and a new grill.
Unfortunately, the camper itself needs work. The fridge did not work during our stay. I notified the owner within 24 hours of arrival and she did not reply to my message until almost 24 hours later. She did not attempt to fix the fridge or offer an alternative. Getting ahold of her was difficult due to having 0 cell phone service at the property, no wi-fi and no contact # for texting or calling. The shower leaks water into the living room and kitchen area every time you use it. The bathroom floor is noticeably soft. The master bed framing is broken and squeaks loudly every time you move. One of the tanks wasn't emptied prior to our arrival. Thankfully, we know how to empty them, but the hose that was provided had holes all over it and sprayed dirty water from previous guests all over my husband. The bathroom shower and kitchen sink need better cleaning. There was visible dirt and grime. I wiped a small area and it wiped off easily, which made me question the cleanliness of the camper.
Overall, we'd stay at the property again, but not this specific camper.

I’m a busy mom of three teenage boys and two overgrown lap dogs. I love to travel and love long destination rides with my husband on our Harley. There is nothing better than setting the recharge button by kicking back and relaxing, which is what I aim to offer.
I’m a Michigander through and through. My family is partial owner of Silver Lake Sand Dune Property, check out our listing. We have enjoyed the experience of vacation rentals and watching the transition of building from the ground up.
Why they chose this property
I have a home full of boys who love to enjoy the dunes. My husband has years of memories on the dunes and in Mears. I myself love to slipway to the local lighthouse for a swim or just to take in the natural beauty.
