About this property
Harbor View Cottage - Off the Beaten Path - Close to Nature -
### **Off the Beaten Path. Close to Nature.**
Some places don't just invite you to arrive. They invite you to slow down.
Hidden away in Coonanna Harbour, far from the busy tourist routes yet close to everything the Ring of Kerry has to offer, Harbour View Cottage is a peaceful hideaway for those looking to experience the quieter side of Ireland.
Mornings begin as the first light spills over the mountain. Sheep graze on the hillsides, cows roam the surrounding fields, and life on the neighbouring farms follows its own timeless rhythm. In the evening, the sun sets gently over the harbour, reminding you that there's no need to rush.
Step outside and you'll find the trail to **Knocknadobar (Knock na dTobar)** almost on your doorstep. Quiet beaches, hidden coves and the Atlantic are just a short drive away, offering endless opportunities for hiking, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding or simply taking in the landscape.
Inside the cottage, we've embraced the idea that less can be more. The interiors are warm, cosy and thoughtfully simple, with everything you need and nothing you don't. There is no television—by design. Instead, you'll find books, board games, home-cooked meals, good conversation and the kind of peace that's often hard to find.
We live on the property ourselves and are always happy to share our favourite local walks, hidden beaches, traditional pubs and places that don't usually make it into the guidebooks. At the same time, we value your privacy, so your stay can be as peaceful and uninterrupted as you wish.

Harbor View Cottage was the perfect place to explore the Ring of Kerry. Nadine was very helpful with places to hike. Our favorite area to explore was Valencia Island and Portmagee. Highly recommend.

Thank you for your great review. It was a pleasure to be your host during your stay.
The Harbor View Cottage managed by Anthony and Nadine is the perfect place to lay your head while exploring the beauty of Caharciveen in the ring of Kerry. friendly hosts, beautiful views, and a nice updated cottage all cultivated in a once in a lifetime experience. I will definitely book again!
Lovely rural location, a very short walk to the harbour with great sea views. The cottage is well appointed, adjacent to the owner who was very helpful. The weather wasn't great during our visit and we spent a whole day there reading and relaxing which was exactly what we needed. Ten minutes drive from Cahersiveen which has all the local amenities you may need for a self catering stay.
I stayed at the Harbour View Cottage for a month. From the moment I met Nadine and saw the cottage, I knew I had made the right choice of lodging for my stay. The cottage was perfect, so lovely, quiet and homey. The location was perfect, in the mountains, yet seaside. The property was beautiful. Nadine was full of good advice for my local adventures. The neighbors were great and by the time the month was up, I actually felt like I was part of the community. It was the perfect place for the perfect vacation.
Harbor View Cottage was a lovely place to rest our heads. A car is definitely needed but the location is near Cahersiveen where guests can easily get provisions for their stay. Nadine couldn't have been a better host. She was easy to contact with any questions and she was full of suggestions for us to consider visiting. The wifi was superb! The cottage was well provisioned and situated in a location that allowed easy travel to nearbly Valentia Island, Bray Head Tower, Cliffs of Kerry, the National Park and many more sights. Our stay was brief but we had everything that we needed. Thank you so much, Nadine, for all that you did to make our visit so terrific!
