Overall a really cute place that is convenient to downtown Richmond. The only issue, I didn’t realize which door it was. Be sure to look up for the hidden lock box. The communication with the host was great and quick as I sorted out access (which was all my fault)!
2nd time staying here. So cute. Love walking to the main street for shopping and dining. We have rentals in Richmond and love to use this apartment as a home base.
very easy to communicate with!! also very helpful when we had questions and quick to respond to any messages. everything was very clean!

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
Overall convenient and comfortable place to stay. The condition of the property is a bit shabbier than in the photos. Our sheets had dog or cat hair on them and we needed to wash them ourselves before using. We messaged them about this but never received a reply. Would choose another option next time.
We really enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean and everything was exactly as described. I would stay here again without a second thought. Very nice place, conveniently located to everything we needed to get to.

Area can be considered a little sketchy but accomodations were incredible!
I'm glad I came across the Scholars Apartment while visiting family. The communication, cleanliness, and furnishings are wonderful. The beds are amazing! This is definitely a favorite and top choice for my next visit.
The apartment had everything needed for a great stay. The bed was very comfortable and there were extras making the stay very nice and comfortable. The lockbox for the door had an issue but host was respondent and helpful. It truly was a great stay and if ever in the area, we would stay again!
We loved this place.
Everything we needed, and more, was there.
There was a brand new park right by the place that kept our toddler busy.
All in all, definitely a place that we can recommend to anyone.
This listing was exactly as pictured. A wonderful apartment with comfortable surroundings. I will definitely stay again! Walking distance to downtown and a lovely park across the street.
Perfect size for me and my son to stay. Well appointed and comfortable! The kitchen has everything you need to cook for yourself if you want (full size fridge, stove/oven!!). Beds were very comfortable, and the place has a cozy charm for sure! Felt like a home away from home. The only possible improvement would be dedicated parking off the street and a paved walkway to the stairs (you have to walk through a yard for just a few feet - makes a difference between wet shoes and dry shoes if it’s been raining), otherwise a perfect stay!!
Enjoyed our stay. Well equipped, up-to-date and comfortable. Only 2 minor issues. Some of the dishes from the previous guest had been put away dirty and had to be re-washed. It would be nice have a clear path (or sidewalk) to get to the stairs leading up to the entrance instead of having to walk through wet, dewy grass.
If you’re a night owl and don’t mind noisy neighbors, this spot will suit your needs. Unfortunately we were in town for a meeting and had to be up at 6am. Since the downstairs tenants stayed up until 1:30am, we didn’t get much sleep. The apartment is just like the pictures though—very clean and updated. The mattresses are comfortable. The kitchen is great with everything you need to cook if you choose. One suggestion for the owner might be to add a path to the staircase so your guests don’t have to walk through the tall grass to get to the stairway.
Pictures of the inside were good, but outside misrepresented. Good points: relatively clean inside, comfortable beds, new appliances. Best part was well stocked kitchen to meet all our cooking needs as we don’t eat out. BAD: Outside poorly represented in pics. Stairs are sketchy, paint peeling badly off door and hard to close from the outside, had to walk through a broken down fence and avoid HOLES was a bit treacherous. Worst part: Dealing with management was a nightmare. I asked for the address but was told I would receive it 24 hours before check in. We paid in three weeks before our check in. We needed to set our GPS the 24 hours in advance as we were in the mountains - limited cell towers. FRUSTRATING as we never heard back until we were only 2 hours away, from the city, when told we had to PAY FIRST! Can you imagine how frustrating? Check in was on a Friday. It took an hour or so to check with our “bank” to confirm this. When we arrived, we saw four or five cops with flashing lights across the street, surrounding a vehicle. Apartment faces a through street….Then we had to walk around ground holes (fresh cut grass hid a few) and up sketchy stairs into a WARM apartment. So put a call in as it appeared the A/C wasn’t working. Long story short, it never properly worked although a repairman tried on Saturday at 3 pm. We endured two hot nights. We should never have checked in but we had no place to go. It’s Easter weekend and time to be with family. Instead, on Easter Sunday
This 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment is lovely. It was clean, the beds and linens were very comfortable, BUT the noise from the downstairs tenants was awful. Loud hard-core rap music, a tv and laughter/loud yells went on til well after midnight. At some point the thumping bass of the music ended, but the loud tv remained on all night. It does sit on a fairly busy street so there's some street noise, but if you're looking for a quiet stay and a good night's sleep this isn't the place (at least while the university is in session.)
A good stay except for the fact that the AC didn't work the first day. Repairs were not completed until the 2nd day of our stay. These things happen. Other than that we were pleased.
