Peaceful & close to everything, perfect place to us!
Everything was easy, from start to finish. Cabin is very well taken care of, & caretakers are very kind & helpful. So much better than a hotel, & so close to everything to Maggie Valley. If you’re lucky, you’ll see elk as they pass between the cabins frequently!
Great location for access to local events, loved the sound of the river while sitting on the front porch with my family... very friendly staff... thanks
We had a great time staying in Pioneer Village with some friends. Quiet Atmosphere. Ann answered any questions we had checking in. Great overall experience. We will be back soon!
Sounds of the babbling brook so refreshing and calming. Lots to do in the area close by. WiFi needs work. Comfy beds . Doorknob came off in my hand. Caregivers of property were tops so friendly approachable and helpful. The great house provided a great meeting place for our group. Would love to come back.
My husband and I come to Maggie Valley quite often. The first weekend in May we stayed in Pioneer Village. It is an awesome property. Landscaped beautifully, with breathtaking views. The cabins are rustic. That was part of the charm for us. But the insides are beautifully decorated. Every amenity you could ask for. Well maintained. HUGE thick bath towels, great beds and linens, etc. I was so impressed with Pioneer Village, I told my sisters about it. They immediately wanted to go. So here we are, two weeks later, and we just got back home from our second stay in a month! My sisters are 67 and 71. They were planning a trip back with their husbands before we got home! Me too! If serenity, views and cleanliness are important to you, this is your place! My sisters and I took our small dogs with us. My dog is a little morkie with long hair. He got a drink and water dripped off his chin onto the hardwood floors. I took a WHITE paper towel, wiped up the drips across the floor, AND THE PAPERTOWEL WAS STILL WHITE! The location is excellent! Less than a quarter mile from the main road. A creek runs thru the property, views are excellent, and we even saw elk walk across the yard! Ronnie and Mary, the caretakers are available right on site. They welcome you, answer every question you might have, and are very kind. They can be found working around the property but never intrude. close to a perfect property as we've found, and living so close (Chattanooga area) we visit the mtns OFTEN!
The Cabin was very clean and quiet, but we were very disapointed because we thought we booked a cabin with the stream behind it. that was the main reason we chose this cabin. Also the cabin had some kind of fragrance in it that would take your breath. Had to ventilate some fresh air in. Please make your cabins more handicap friendly. Older couples can hardly get up from the low chairs and especially in the bathroom. Other than that it would have been a wonderful place to get some peace and quiet and rest. Nice quiet village. Property manager was very nice and tried offered any help that needed. Just could not get wifi to stay on.
I've visited Puoneer Village since i was a kid. I always enjoy being here.Ronnie and Mary were great. They really seem to take pride in how they take care of the place and the guests. We will cone back!
We had a large group staying over Thanksgiving holidays in cabins 3,9,10 and 11. The whole property was amazing, we will definitely be back. The cabins were comfortable and well appointed, and the property is beautiful and serene. We especially appreciate the owners opening the dining room, so our group could share meals. Kids really enjoyed outdoor areas, they played for hours, despite cold weather. Thank you for hosting us, we hope to come back real soon.
The host at the village was super great. Ive stayed at pioneer village for over 45 years and i am sad that the personal touch is gone but the upgrades are great. I hope the new owners continue to upgrade the cabins
Property just old a lot maintenance issues i wouldn’t have paid what I paid no wifi service we couldn’t enjoy the cabin no one has wifi tv only had few channels just wasn’t worth it. We barely was at the cabin just literally to sleep
We initially had an issue due to the extreme weather but the management was quick to resolve it that night and had a backup plan if needed(no hot water). The property is perfectly situated just off of the main road. The heating and cooling system could use an upgrade but for the price you can’t beat it. Thanks to the management, we will be back!
Came in late. Employee helped me find my cabin. Communication was great ! Internet was down but there is good cell service in this area. Cabin itself nice. Roomy. Kitchen well equipped. Would definitely stay again. They checked in with me to make sure everything was great from time to time.
