Welcome to your home away from home in beautiful Sarasota, Florida!
Ever since I was young, I dreamed of owning a boutique hotel in the Florida Keys. While that’s still on my bucket list, I thought—why not start right here in this little slice of paradise?
I’m originally from South Bend, Indiana, but I’ve called Sarasota home since 1985. After graduating, I moved here and launched a magazine with my then-husband. We raised two wonderful kids, and I’m now a proud grandma to three amazing grandkids.
Life hasn’t always been easy. As a single mom, I juggled my printing company and freelance work, often putting in 50–90 hour weeks to support my family. Like many people, COVID turned my world upside down, forcing me to close my business. But it also gave me the chance to pause, take a breath, and start living for myself again. My daughter and I (my little “mini me”) set off to explore the beauty of the world—and I’ve been chasing sunsets and adventure ever since.
I’m passionate about music, live bands, motorcycle rides, paddleboarding, whitewater rafting, kayaking, hiking, snorkeling, boating, parasailing—you name it. If it involves nature and fresh air, count me in! And I never tire of walking the white sandy shores of Siesta Key, right here in our backyard.
