We had a wonderful week celebrating the wedding of our son at The Quail. We were able to enjoy the beach and aquarium prior to the onset of wedding festivities. The house accommodated our large family well and has a wonderful yard for kids and games. Joy was responsive to our questions and would recommend for a family Carmel vacation!!!

Beautiful property near the beach. Worked well for our family of 8. Joy gave some very helpful suggestions when we thought we were going to have to change our wedding plans because of the fires in Big Sur. I would absolutely stay here again.

This house captures the Howard’s end, enchanted April vibe we were looking for, as a family reunion space. It’s cozy, the gardens are stunning and the beach access is so easy. Lots of space to spread out, play games and relax. The hair is communicative and so helpful and welcoming. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Joy!

Very quiet, comfortable and a great location! We loved being close to the Carmel River Beach entrance. Perfect house for access to our own outdoor dining, sitting and enjoying privacy with guests. The yard had interesting plant material and ample grassy area for our dog to lounge and to play. Thank you to our host for making it a great memory!

In a word: Outstanding! The gardens are carefully curated and amazing, the house interior is warm and inviting, kitchen is very well appointed, and our host incredibly welcoming and kind. I can't imagine a better Carmel-by-the-Sea experience.

We loved our stay at this home, with so much space, everthing we needed for cooking and entertainment, and a charming backyard -- all within a short walk from the best small beach in the area, and a nice longer walk from the heart of Carmel by the Sea! What a lovely get away in a perfect spot for our family!

Absolutely lovely Carmel home close to Carmel River Beach (3 min walk).The house has lots of warm and welcoming touches, with a spacious living room to relax in, a very well-stocked kitchen, and beautifully landscaped outdoor spaces.A perfect place for families with children or for solo couples. The host, Joy, is so easy to work with. She answers questions promptly and is a good-natured and very friendly woman (we had the chance to meet her).If you're lucky enough to stay here, you'll love it!
