About this property
Beautiful Historic Farmhouse with Gorgeous Views
Welcome to The Farmhouse!
Prepare yourself for a quiet and peaceful stay at this historic property. The original section of the home dates back to the 1770's with many updates over the years. This includes the large open layout living area with oversized Fisher wood-burning stove, foyer, attached garage and outside you will find a frog pond, wrap-around driveway, stone lined fishing pond and picturesque barn.
Immerse yourself in the peaceful tranquility of this hillside home with spectacular views and perfect sunsets. Take a stroll on one of our many walking trails or prepare the perfect meal on the stone patio. End every night by counting sparks from the wood stove, outdoor fire pit or new stars in the clear night sky.
With several nearby attractions, you can use the farmhouse as your home base. Explore the cute nearby village of Middleburgh, the famous hiking trail of "Vroman's Nose," nearby ski resorts of Hunter Mountain and Ski Windham, and Howe's Caverns a quick drive away.
Whether you plan to explore the area or just relax, this home is the perfect retreat.
The farmhouse is equipped with new plush mattresses in each bedroom, and a blow-dryer in each bathroom. Towels and linens are provided. For those big meals, you'll enjoy stainless steel appliances - including our glass top stove and convection oven. There is even a clothes iron and ironing board if you need.
Other amenities include a pack-n-play, extra front load freezer, and a high-end CharBroil Grill with infrared technology.
The mountain air is cool and fresh so A/C is not needed, but a wall unit is available upon request. Wood will be provided for the wood-burning stove during the colder months of November through April.
The property is secured using a Ring doorbell and outdoor camera.

We have been enjoying this wonderful region of upstate New York for nearly 2 decades. We would love to share the slice of paradise with others.
Why they chose this property
This property offers the perfect mix of peace and tranquility with access to many nearby sites and activities in Beautiful upstate New York.
What makes this property unique
This home has many wonderful attributes. For example, the pond across the street was handbuilt over the course of a decade. The same is true for the frog Pond and Stonewall that runs along the side of the house. The barn is as picturesque as it gets. The original section and foundation of the house is nearly 300 years old. The expensive surrounding land allows for excellent hikes in the warmer months and snowshoeing and sledding in the winter.
