Property was as described and clean. The town is very charming with several delicious restaurants in walking distance. The people in the town are very nice and welcoming! Had a great time and would love to visit again!
We had a great stay in this super cute property! Great little town, spacious house with a great back yard for the dog we brought with us! Really enjoyed staying here!
Very nice home and the location was walkable to a good variety of shops in Cobleskill. It was also easy to access the surrounding areas for which we were in town. We had great communication from the host and we would offer our high recommendation for those considering a stay.
House is one block off main street easy walk to park, good food and a great deli bakery also serves as an ice cream shack with out door seating. If you have'nt gone to Howe's Cavern it's worth going.
Very cute property! Very clean and centrally-located to the cute little town of Cobleskill and other area attractions. My family and I stayed there for a family reunion nearby. We loved the porch and my dogs loved the backyard. I would recommend that the owners add shades to the back room window(s) since it’s pretty bright at night. I also did not get check-in instructions until the day of and really needed them earlier to send to family members who were going to arrive before I did. But other than that, I’d stay there again!

Thank you for your review. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay and found the backyard as lovely as could be. It is indeed great for pets too.
I want to address the check in instructions. They were sent out 2 days before your stay. I suspect they went to your spam folder. I again sent them to the app the morning of your stay so I apologize for this.
Again, thank you for review and come back again!
This place was a wonderful choice for our annual family vacation. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us. The main floor was a perfect place to gather for board games and enjoy time together. Plenty of rooms/beds for all of us to sleep comfortably. The amenities were well thought out. Anything we needed was supplied. It was hot for most of our stay. Our host Dove, provided a portable ac to make the living conditions very comfortable. She was very attentive to our needs and always available when needed. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to explore the area. It was a great experience.
Wonderful and wonky home! Lots of character and very comfortable. Had a nice backyard that our dogs enjoyed. Walking distance to great eateries. Howe Caverns 10 minutes away. Cooperstown about 35 minutes away...all beautiful back roads and countryside. Dove was a terrifc host and very responsive. Would definitely return!

Needs a lot of work
Came down for 12 year old grandson's Little League tournament. Main floor is VERY much in need of updating. The downstairs bedroom reactivated my vertigo - floors very uneven and very uncomfortable bed. The downstairs bathroom is teeny tiny and when you close the shower curtain it is pitch dark in the shower. There is no curtain on the top part of the window, but the owner said not to worry as the next door neighbor is legally blind.
The upstairs bedrooms were quite lovely, but the staircases to get up there are very scary! And you need to walk through the bedrooms to get to the bathroom up there. That bathroom is HUGE but awkwardly placed (again need to walk through bedrooms to access it. We did love the side porch.
Oh I thought there was street cleaning happening on Saturday morning only to learn that it was the Roomba downstairs! Very loud!

I am sorry your stay did not meet your expectations. I addressed many of your concerns in my listing, which you read before your stay.
"If you are looking for a modernized home full of perfections- this is not the home for you. We have wonky floors, never enough plugs, rooms that adjoin and stairs and floors that creak but if clean, old charm is what you want...this is the vacation stay for you!"
I am glad the side porch was enjoyable. I hope your stay and your visits to Cooperstown were enjoyable as well.
The house location was perfect. Next to town. We walked around town to get coffee etc. There were great hiking spots near by and we did some kayaking very close too.
The yard was completely fenced in which was nice since we brought dogs. However the description of the property (at least when I’m writing this) left out a couple of details. There is a chicken coop in the backyard. I think it’s worth noting in case your dogs will go crazy if they see them. The owner mentioned in her message to us to watch our dogs behavior around the chickens, so just would have been nice to know in advance Incase our dogs would have been the hostile type. Also, the chicken coop belongs to the neighbor. So after checking in, we were told they neighbor would be coming into the yard daily to collect the eggs. Worth mentioning because it’s not completely private while staying there.
There is plenty of room in the house. Four bedrooms. I will say that th e downstairs bedroom was very dirty (shelves full of dust etc) but that didn’t effect us since we didn’t need that bedroom. We stayed upstairs and the bedrooms actually all connect. One bedroom in the center would be walked through if you were to use to the bathroom at night so worth noting if you are traveling with other couples who would want their privacy. This also didn’t effect us because we didn’t use that bedroom but if we had it would have been a little awkward.
We stayed there in May and the air conditioning in our bedrooms worked great. One of the bedrooms upstairs does not have AC, so if they were hot they’d had to have keep the door to the other bedroom open. Could potentially be awkward if you were traveling with other couples.
Lots of stuff in the kitchen. Very well stocked.
Check in was easy. When we checked out, the owner was nice and said don’t rush out which was great.
Fire pit and grill was the main reason we chose the house and both were great!

Thanks for your feedback. I have updated the description to include some of the items you mentioned. And sorry about those dusty shelves, the house is rented to college students during the school year so it is always a major cleaning job to start off the summer rentals and I missed them. They are dusted now!
The house was exactly as described! Beautiful upstairs floors, creaky floor boards, uneven back stair case but with modern features. Appliances all new and the kitchen is beautifully re- done. Plenty of storage space. The back yard is beautiful and very pet friendly. There is a parking lot directly on the other side of the side fence that gets a bit of usage all hours of the day and night- it didn’t present a problem for us- more of just an FYI.
House is located right down the road from the small quant village. If you like the feel of older homes this is one I would definitely recommend!
Lovely Spacious house. Close to down town. Owner easy to work with. It is an older home with some quirks but that just adds to the charm. My son was happy to find the game store just a short walk away.
We spent a week at this lovely home during the pandemic (the state was at stage 4 of reopening) wanting space to stretch out and a break from apartment living in Brooklyn. The adults worked from the dining table or the porch while the kids (teenagers) enjoyed lounging on their queen sized beds and playing with our dog in the fenced in yard. The kitchen is large and well equipped. We grilled several times using both the gas and the charcoal grills! This house is right off of the main street in the small town of Cobleskill. In different times it would be fun to walk to the pub on the corner for dinner — alas it was closed. A huge grocery store (Price Chopper) is a short drive away. This area is beautiful with farmland and rolling hills and streams. (We really enjoyed visiting Howe Caverns, which had just reopened with timed tickets and mask wearing and etc. — kids loved it too. So nice to be a tourist again.) The property is lovely with a huge tree in the backyard and a chicken coop tucked away in the back — however it is surrounded by a parking lot on two sides (for the post office next door.) This didn’t bother us much but it’s something to be aware of. A tall fence gives privacy and blocks the view of the lot. We were very comfortable in this house! We wanted a break from our small apartment and this served our needs very well. I miss relaxing on the side porch with the sofa and chairs right off the kitchen and letting my dog lounge in the sun nearby. WiFi was excellent. House owners could not have been nicer or more responsive!! The A/Cs in the bedrooms upstairs kept everything cool. There was a portable AC for the ground floor but we didn’t end up needing it. We also appreciated the huge washer and dryer! The bedrooms do connect to each other upstairs, as they often do in old houses — you have to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the (huge) bathroom from the other two bedrooms. A small inconvenience for a charming home. It served our needs well.
Our group was only there for a couple of nights but could of easily stayed for a week house was clean and yard was great for dogs, chickens and neighbor was not a problem at all owner was very responsive and people in town businesses were great considering what we are going through rented a boat on lake in by Cooperstown it was beautiful easy 40 minute ride
The house was well stocked with everything that you possibly need. It was a great house to have family over . The rooms were well spaced out. Only draw back was in the dining room there were not enough chairs for everyone to sit around the table. I was surprised to how quite the house was because with it being in town I thought I would hear a lot of traffic but I didn’t. The house was well located close to stores and eateries. Dove was well accomindating if I had any questions she replied to them. Enjoyed my stay!

Jennifer and crew were wonderful guests, they communicated to me small things I needed to address (which I always appreciate) and left the house in beautiful condition. They are welcome to come back anytime. I would be happy to host them again.
