It’s light and airy with dramatic high ceilings, large windows, French doors, hardwood floors and an open kitchen. Enjoy stunning mountain views from large decks & our garden sanctuary. The house is 2400 square feet, which is one of the largest in the neighborhood. The mountains of Malibu are home to critters such as but not limited to deer, squirrels, rodents, insects, reptiles, etc. NO refunds for the above.
Quiet hours are 9PM-8AM. Please hang inside during these hours to avoid noise echoing in the mountains.
Please keep shoes off inside. No renters under 25. No parties, events or gatherings. No pets. NO LOUD MUSIC. No more than 6 cars.

Lovely stay for a wedding

We (three couples) stayed here for a wedding in Malibu. Beautiful location. Perfect having three bedrooms and three baths so everyone had space to get ready!

Mountain home!

Danielle was amazing. First time we ever stayed/booked a VRBO and she made it such an easy experience, always quick to respond and answer all of my questions. Beautiful view from the house. Spacious living quarters.

Beautiful property. Clear communication. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of January. The house, deck, and garden are beautiful. Communication with Danelle before, during, and after our stay was easy and she was very helpful. Our group hiked trails nearby and hung out at the house. It had everything we needed. Everyone in the group was very happy. I would highly recommend booking this property.

A beautiful home in an amazing location

Excellent property. Lots of light, high ceilings, clean, beautiful views, huge deck in the back. Drive up to the home from the coast is through the canyon and although steep is very scenic. The host always responded within an hour and was very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay even though it rained most of the time (a historic storm in CA).

Beautiful View

Felt like we were in tropical mountains. Large house with 3 bedrooms and 3 total beds. Wonderful back deck for meals or just hanging out. Only caution is that it is a very steep drive with drop offs and no guardrails at times. If this bothers you then it may be a nerve racking drive. If it doesn't, then you will be rewarded with a wonderful stay and the amazing views.

Lookout Rd Malibu

Overall the property was great! Location was wonderful and outdoor spaces really nice. I feel that the listing was a bit of a stretch in terms of being able to sleep 9 comfortably, but the 3 bedrooms and beds were lovely, especially the master. It lost a star for me because the house could use a deep clean-ceiling fans, carpets, some bathroom areas… Garage access was awesome, and the house was bright and open. Good choice for time in Malibu and easy access to surrounding area!

Very clean and beautiful house, the neigbourhood is very sensitive to noises

We were a group of people who saw each other after a long time and we were loud. And the neighbors were not happy about us. We got kicked out. But over all it was a beautiful house. Host was very nice and responsive.

Can't beat the view!

This was a lovely property in the hills of Malibu, where we were attending a wedding. The house was perfect for our needs, well stocked, with great communication from the owner. You really can't beat the view (from the top!), and the property has beautiful gardens to boot. The tricky part is getting up to house - coming from the flat midwest, the road up to the house is steep and windy, which was an adventure in itself. I appreciated the notice from the owner that rideshares can be hard to come by, so we rented cars and scaled it ourselves. Location was great as well - low key, and close to some lovely restaurants along the coastline.

Misleading listing / very disappointing

Was very excited to stay here . If you have a small group it could be ok but the listing is very misleading. It is made to believe there were enough beds for 8 but didnt mention that included the couch and a deflating air mattress we had to reach out to the host after the fact for, to find. The mattress was also deflated and there were not enough blankets . We also had to ask for towels and soap. They gave us code for maids closet to get towels which were very tathered to use for our showers. We were originally told that early check in was possible then it came with a 150 fee later. I was also. Charged a 206 service charge later noone can explain? After checkout we were blamed for breaking the garage door. We didnt even use the garage. And for leaving trash. Where to place trash was unclear in the directions so we neatly placed them by bins . We also were shamed for “using too many towels” (?) . The down stairs linens smelt like pee and were damp and they continued to dismiss our concern for that. I am completely upset at how they have handled this. We even did dishes and started laundry before leaving. To place blame on a guest who was mislead and didnt have proper amenities is so unprofessional .

Why they chose this property

Our backyard is one of the most special perks of this property. We have had several people get married in our back yard because they fell in love with the quaint garden vibe sitting in the Malibu Mountains. (Please ask permission in order to host an event, since we do have limitations) Eat lemons, limes and other fruit fresh from the garden!

What makes this property unique

Our home is located near two of the most famous hikes in Malibu- The Solstice Trail and Backbone Trail. Enjoy Malibu ocean views for miles in the untouched wilderness. We are also 3 miles from the beach and within 12 minutes of all major shopping/grocery stores. Our mountain is famously known because many car commercials have been shot on our road up to the house.
