Escape the city in our newly renovated, family friendly, Cape-style cottage on a peaceful creek!

An easy 1.5 hours from NYC and located in the historic Hudson Valley town of Hyde Park. Relax in 5 acres of land surrounded by water, waterfalls, and scenic views - take out a canoe or kayak and cozy up to a fire pit outside. And enjoy all brand new modern amenities inside, open living space and cozy fireplace.

4 well-appointed bedrooms, 3.5 baths with heated floors, plus a wood-fired hot tub!

We love this tranquil cottage to escape the city but within easy reach of Hyde Park amenities and so many Hudson Valley gems!

Please note that the creek is not for swimming but you can enjoy peaceful walks, snowshoes, hammock swings, fishing, canoe and kayaking!

Very well-appointed and a lovely outdoor area! Great for multiple families, several common spaces. The available boats were great (the Kayaks worked, though the canoe was leaking and we ended up taking it out of the water).

Stunningly beautiful property. Just wish we had longer to make full use of all of the activities that were possible. Super comfy beds, great kitchen area fully stocked, even a welcoming bottle of wine. Some local traffic noise but not really bothersome. Only thing I would suggest is clarifying that the hot tub is wood-fired so it takes a bit of time to heat up and to maintain. That was the only disappointment, but once you got it started, it was great.

Great place

Wonderful stay, Was just what we needed for my family going to my daughter’s wedding. Everything was very clean. Lots of room for 5 adults and 3 year old plus a baby. Great place to stay the neighborhood was nice and the backyard was big. We enjoyed the fire pit.

Beautiful, Clean and Convenient

We enjoyed our stay very much at this house. It was very clean and the inside was very welcoming and spacious. The outside grounds were beautiful. And the location was very close for FDR's house, the Vanderbilt Mansion, Eleanor Roosevelt cottage, etc. We went to Coppola's Italian Restaurant the first night and it was reasonable and very good. Would highly recommend staying there.

My family and I stayed at this lovely property for my daughter's graduation weekend. It was spacious, clean and the perfect place for us. It has a cool vibe, is completely updated and everything was just as described. The property itself is very special with a creek, waterfall and kayaks that we took advantage of. Communication with the owners was terrific and they were flexible when we ran into scheduling issues with my daughter's dorm move out. I wish we had discovered this home during her freshman year and not her senior because it's a perfect place to make memories.

A little slice of heaven

The house is much roomier than it looks from the outside, quite comfortable, and VERY well appointed and stocked. The grounds are fabulous! So convenient yet so private. Nice patio with gas grill, fire pit, woodfired hot tub, tables and seating right alongside the creek and waterfall. This property was a great find!!!

One of the best stays in Hudson Valley

The house is hosted by someone who is very thoughtful. Every detail that a guest may need was considered. For example, there were small toiletries like toothpaste there. The entire place was immaculate and totally renovated. The kitchen had everything. Well stocked with all the appliances and tools you might need. Its 15 min from Rhinebeck. Very convenient location. We highly recommend.

I originally booked a different property for this time period so our family could attend a graduation ceremony at the Culinary Institute of America. However, the host cancelled our reservations 2 weeks prior to the event due to property damage. This property was on my original short list for consideration, and I am so happy we had the opportunity to stay here. We arrived late in the evening, and it was really dark! I attempted to open the front door with the code and found that the battery was low on the lock and did not have enough life to accept the code. I was a little panicked and reached out to the host. While waiting on the host to respond, I found the correct door and the code worked. The host responded to my messages within 10 minutes. The home was exactly like the pictures. It was warm and inviting and they really put thought into welcoming their guests. There was a guide for the home with instructions for all the appliances, heating/cooling, Wi-Fi, even the kitchen cabinets (there were hidden drawers!),etc. This was so helpful and appreciated! My favorite feature of the home was the heated floors in the bathroom. That was a wonderful surprise for someone who is always cold. The kitchen was nicely stocked, and we did work the kitchen! We cooked almost all our meals in the home. The home is right beside a beautiful creek. I had more to say but not enough spaced allowed for this review. Overall, we enjoyed staying here and would book here again!

Great place to stay!

This cute house appears small from the street but has loads of space! It was quiet and peaceful. Has 4 proper bedrooms: 2nd floor - a queen with half bath next to it in the hall, twins with full bath next to them in the hall, 1st floor - a king with an en-suite, basement - queen with a full bath in the hall. There is ample room in the family room to watch tv on a sectional couch. A super well-stocked kitchen with an island which would seat about 8 people and a long table which would easily seat 8 or more. The property the house sits on has beautiful shady trees and is next to a small creek. It is close to a well-traveled street but I did not hear car noise. There is a drug store and gas station 2 minutes away. There were many more features we did not have the time to make use of! For those with children - it is well-stocked as there were baby gates at the stairs, a high chair, small utensils and a play/kids room in the well-lit basement. The backyard is large and grassy and would be great to run around on. There appeared to be some sort of fence close to the creek. We were in town for our daughter’s college graduation and it was the perfect respite after all the festivities. We were 5 adults staying here, including two who are 80+ and it worked out well for the later end of the life spectrum too! It is a new, fresh, modern home inside a cute old house. Perfect!
