Beautiful Mountain Lodge on 32 Private Acres - Real Privacy!
Welcome to the Rest and Relaxation Lodge in a beautiful mountain top setting on your own private 32 acres. Built in 2020 on a mountain top, this lodge is perfect for hiking, biking, and barbecuing. Imagine a place where your senses are heightened the moment you arrive.... the air is fresh, the birds are chirping, the deer are walking quietly through the woods, and peacefulness surrounds you. This amazing place must be experienced to be appreciated. Sit on the wraparound deck, and enjoy the sunset views and cool breeze above the tree line. It is both rustic with custom Amish furniture and modern with WIFI, radiant floor heating, and a Keurig coffee machine. Clear, fresh water is sourced from a recently connected deep well. Get away from the city and crowded vacation destinations like the beach, Hamptons, Cape May and Lake George. (Btw, from NYC, driving here is comparable to driving to the Hamptons, Cape May and Lake George.) Sit around the open fire, play horseshoes or cornhole, stay up late and laugh loudly, make smores, and look up at the countless stars (if not cloudy) that you cannot see in the city. There are abundant options for hiking, fishing, boating and swimming in the many nearby lakes and state parks. Imagine walking out the door and not hearing or seeing others. Stay in a place where real privacy is the greatest of all amenities.

Wonderful cabin retreat. Loved our stay. The wild blackberries were in season and we made fresh pie!

Carol, I am glad you made pie with the blackberries. You are making me hungry. Hopefully, you took a picture of the pie to share. I will also implement your helpful suggestions. Thank you!
We had an awesome time staying at this secluded lodge. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, sitting around the campfire, and exploring the property with our dog.
My partner and I were looking for a quiet place to getaway and really unplug. This was the perfect space for that! We loved the porch and watched thunderstorms come and go. Our dog loved the walking path around the pond. Great place!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I am so glad you were able to unplug from your regular life. In the words of Thoreau, sometimes you need go into nature to "live deliberately".
We had a great time this weekend! The property is beautiful and the view is amazing. The deck offers a great spot to relax in the evenings. We will be back!
The cabin experience was more than we expected. It was beautiful inside and out. It was very clean at arrival. We loved sitting outside listening to the owls at night, the kids skipped rocks on the pond and we stayed up late playing board games. I wish we had stayed longer since we had such a great time!!

I am glad that you had a memorable experience. Sometimes, you just need to slow down/recharge/refocus by getting away from all the distractions. Congrats on the anniversary!
The R & R cabin was a very pleasant place to stay. The cabin makes you feel right at home, especially if you like privacy, quiet and the great outdoors. The bugs weren’t bad, the blackberries growing wild on the property were scrumptious, and seeing various wildlife such as hummingbirds, frogs and ring-necked snakes reconnected us with nature.
Our visit was in mid May and the area was lush and green. Including an assortment of waterfowl in the little pond in front of the cabin. Also used to train our young Labrador Retriever (the reason we were in the area). Turns out within a half hour drive there are several national caliber training grounds for the various retriever hunt disciplines. John our host couldn't have been more accommodating. We were coming out or winter/early spring season into when the cabin is most occupied so there were a couple of wrinkle (like weeks of rain required turning on the generator to charge the solar.

Ken and his wife are amazing people. Just based on our telephone discussions, I could tell that they are patient, understanding and down-to-earth. I am so glad they (and their young Lab) enjoyed the cabin. They are welcome back anytime!
The cabin is on a secluded hilltop just as advertised and has full amenities (kitchen, bathroom with shower, Wi-Fi, power). It’s new and very clean. Definitely comfortable. There’s a fire pit and a pond right on the property along with second story deck looking out over the scenery. Very relaxing stay. The host is also very responsive. Great experience all around.
A quiet get away with modern amenities. We loved the porch, and hearing the owls, and frogs in the pond at night. Because the weather was so hot we ran too many fans and the air conditioning and the power went out.( the cabin is solar powered)but there is a back up generator that kicks on. After we figured these things out.( learning curve) It was better. Garbage cans in back were full when we got there. We had nowhere to put ours. Texted owner and he sent someone right away next morning to empty it. Very responsive. Also, a few things that could be improved upon is the grass around the pond area could be trimmed. The garbage( old bike, old chair behind cabin could be taken care of. All in all though a nice stay. Private, and has eveything you need.

Beautiful, remote place in need of some simple maintenance & perks
Gorgeous cabin, remote and charming. Road to is dirt and narrow, driveway is tire tracks. Water is from rain catchment so bring plenty for drinking, cooking and pets. Was told there would be some drinking water provided to get us started, which was not the case. Fridge was full of left condiments, most expiring in 2021, which I disgarded. 3 ice trays in freezer were totally empty and it was in the mid 80s. Pet friendly, beautiful views from decks. Unfortunately only 1 bath towel and 1 bath hand towel provided (we stayed 3 nights so definitely inadequate) and shower looks nice but there's no way to turn on outside of it without dousing yourself and the floor. No bathmat provided so floor is definitely showing signs of water damage. Guest book is full, but fun to read. Deck needs staining and all the outdoor chairs (3) were broken, about to break or very worn. NO frills provided like many short term rentals do; making for smores, a bundle of firewood, tissues, radio or Alexa, DVD player, numerous board games, etc... Could be so much better with a few additions and fixes. I feel it was quite overpriced for what we got and was left disappointed when I wanted to love it.

I appreciate your input. It never occurred to me to have tissues and ice cubes but will have them available in the future. I prefer to supply the lodge with paper towels but that's just my preference. Regarding the condiments, the housekeeper cleaned out the fridge this spring but it appears that prior guests left behind condiments. I will have housekeeper check those going forward. FYI, firewood (enough to last the winter) has always been readily available under the deck. As to the towels and extra water, the house keeper forgot to stock these items when they available the utility room. If you do choose to stay again please reach out to me if immediate concerns arise. Based on your helpful feedback, I recently added new Adirondack chairs, a bathmat, skewers for s'mores, and the UNO card game (family favorite Jenga is on the way). I do not have current plans (but reserve the right to change my mind) to incorporate Alexa, radio and/or DVD player. My intention is not for guests to live their usual life at the lodge but rather to create memories with less distractions. The lodge does have FAST wireless Internet so that guests do go through withdrawal (myself included). Thank you again.
The cabin and sounding property were simply outstanding. Very easy check-in process, and everything was well maintained and in good order upon arrival. Visiting in early fall, the view and tranquility of the surrounding forest was excellent, and the location was a great springboard to visit the surrounding area.

Why they chose this property
This is a great rustic getaway for those that want quiet, solitude and lots of space. As you drive up to the property you cross a creek and a large beaver dam. You cannot see any human-made structures from the property. There is a multitude of wildlife here including lots of deer, turkeys, bear and humming birds. Right against the Adirondack border, this cabin guarantees peace and quiet.
What makes this property unique
We just built this cabin in 2020! It's brand new and has fantastic details, like rustic Amish made furniture, an antler chandelier, and a wrap around deck with unobstructed, above the tree line, views of the forest, sunrise and sunset. We built a pond in July 2020 and added a suite of outdoor games including some mountain bikes, horseshoes, and cornhole for your pleasure. Cypress floors, all wood construction with a loft ready for the most quiet night you have ever experienced.
