"Location, location, location!! This adorable, eclectic, and history-rich row house is a hidden gem in Philly. Situated on such a picturesque block, so nice and quiet, yet a bustling neighborhood with something going on every block and tons of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Our favorite room in the house was the sunroom -- it was a great place to cozy up with your coffee in the morning and watch movies at night! The backyard was adorable too!"

Our stay was amazing. The house is such a blend of comfort and cleanliness and convenience. It was absolutely ideal for our family of teens. We loved walking to the coffee shop in the morning. The description that wonderful places to explore are all within walking distance is absolutely accurate.

It gives me such pleasure to have my house enjoyed. Thank you so much !
We took our three kids to Philly and loved staying in this rowhome. The location is amazing and there’s a lot of toys/games in the house for the kids to play with. It also came with a dedicated parking spot, which made things easy. We have stayed in a lot of rentals and I couldn’t recommend the property more highly.

Alex- thanks so much for. your thoughtful review and for taking such good care of our house!
We had a fantastic time in Philly. This rental is close enough to walk into town or just far enough for an Uber if you have limited walking capabilities. Host provided plenty of information about the unit and the local area. One of the bedrooms says it sleeps 2, but if you need that bed - there is no room to move in that room. The showers were a little finicky at times but for the age of the house we expected some quirks! We absolutely loved relaxing with pizza & wine in the sunroom one late afternoon after a long week.Would definitely stay here again if in the area!

Lots of potential - but beware with kids
We booked here for the perfect location in the city. Close to everything, billed as family friendly with a cool playroom. Dedicated parking space in a dense urban location, major plus. We have a 4 & 2 yr old. The description and a review prompted us to book. We were disappointed. It’s billed as a family friendly location, but be aware, there is a land mine of ceramic decorations. My 2 yr old did tip a vase that chipped the lid. The host said it belonged to her mom, so know they have family heirlooms in arms reach. If you have littles or rough playing kids, be prepared for A LOT of “watching hands only” and “stop it! Cut it out!”.If several items were corrected, it could be very charming place that’s also safe for kids. While the playroom was cute, we found some disturbing things. There was a big lamp with a broken glass/ceramic shade that would easily impale somebody who knocked it over and a broken lamp with exposed wires, both right where kids play. Also found a sewing needle on the floor where the kids might sleep. Pictures included. So we didn’t use the room/playroom. Be careful in the sunroom, it leaks and beams have thick black mold. The host was very communicative and she apologized when I informed her, although she was aware of the sharp lamp shade’s location and sunroom. I also let her know that the cleaners were leaving the place very dirty. Kids’ feet were black within 10 minutes barefoot after a bath.Has potential, just needs attention.

When I shared this review with my cleaning person she let me know what a mess the place had been left at- with toys strewn all over the main floor, not put back- The guest had not shared with me anything about the house not being clean—had she I would have had the cleaner return immediately. It shocked me when she told me that her child chipped the vase—and she never offered to have it repaired. The vase was tucked away under the steps on the way down to the basement, and would have been very difficult for a 2 or 4 year old to reach if they had any supervision. Other people with young children put away objects that could easily be broken. In the first e mail I send out when someone books, is to let them know that this is our home, with our things all around—and if that is disturbing to them, they should cancel. She never discussed with me what her children (or her supervision or lack thereof) welike and whether it would be a problem. There are no beams in the sunroom and if you read the other reviews you will see how much our guests particularly enjoy that room. We’ve had no trouble with other parents of young children—in fact they have delighted in the playroom and the house. This guest should be more careful of the kinds of homes she brings her little children into if they are rough, and would be better off with a sterile Airbnb set up just for guests or with a hotel. All my other reviews commented on the cleanliness of our place—you can easily check it out--
