While we have a heated pool option, it works differently from a hot tub. The pool temperature depends on the weather and the heating system, so it may take some time to warm up if it's cooler outside. It won't heat up as quickly as a hot tub, which. is designed to be hot instantly. I just wanted to set the expectation that the pool's warmth can vary depending on the conditions.
Weather conditions play a significant role in how a pool’s temperature changes. Here's a breakdown of how each factor affects heat loss or gain:
1. Air Temperature: Cooler air: When the air temperature is lower than the water temperature, the pool will lose heat through convection and evaporation. This is particularly noticeable during cool nights or early mornings.
Warmer air: If the air is warmer than the pool water, the pool may gain heat, especially if there’s little wind and direct sunlight.
2. Wind Speed: Strong winds: Wind increases heat loss by enhancing evaporation. As the wind blows over the pool’s surface, it helps carry away water molecules, which results in greater heat loss. This effect can be especially noticeable on cooler days.
Light or no wind: Minimal wind reduces evaporation, making it easier for the pool to maintain its temperature.
3. Sunshine: Direct sunlight: Sunshine is one of the most powerful contributors to pool temperature gain. The sun’s energy directly heats the pool water, increasing the temperature, especially in warmer months.
Cloudy weather: Without sunlight, the pool's temperature can drop more quickly, especially when combined with cooler air and wind.
All these factors interact, so the pool’s temperature can fluctuate significantly depending on the time of day, the season, and local weather patterns.
The pool cleaner comes twice a week and let's himself in through the side gate in the backyard.

Amazing location and the house is great. Very welcoming and house stocked well. Pool area was the best feature and nice and relaxing. Mattresses could be a little more plush but overall good. Host responded quickly. Would definitely stay again.

Hi John,
Thank you for choosing to stay with us again this year. It’s always a pleasure to welcome you back, and we truly value the continued trust you place in us for your accommodations. We also appreciate your feedback; it’s invaluable as we work to enhance the experience for all our guests. Rest assured, we will pass your comments along to our cleaning team to ensure everything meets your expectations.
We look forward to the opportunity to host you again soon!
Our place was very clean and comfortable. We found the kitchen complete and even cooked for our local friends. The host was excellent at communicating as well. We would stay there again.
Property was beautiful. Beds were very comfy. Essentials provided were also great! Communication was great until after the stay. We had a large group and I didnt realize the table cloth was accidently taken. Someone in the group thought I brought it as part of the Birthday decorations. Additionally the trash can was cracked outside but not reported at check in because it wasnt found until we emptied it at check out. In rushing to get out on time, I didnt have a chance to notify the property manager until we got home since I was driving and we were in areas with no signal. When I went to follow up, I already had a message with a claim. One of the guests in my party were actually cut by the trash can and in trying to communicate the mistake of taking the table cloth, options to send it back, and what actually happened with the trash can all communications were stopped and never responded to. Luckily we got the insurance so not a major deal on the claim, but disapointed that there was no respone or apology on the trash can.
I stayed here with a group of friends and it was awesome!!!! The pool was perfect since the weather was a little colder we heated it and it was very nice. Beds are comfy and it was overall a great experience not to mention Matthew is a great host!:)

Olivia,
Thank you for the kind words and I am happy to hear how much you enjoyed the house. You are welcome back anytime. Cheers!
Lovely home !!! Matthew was always available if we needed something Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to my friends and family. Lots of side yard to park your toys too.
We had a great time at this house. Plenty of room for a lot of people. Comfy beds! We specifically chose this place because of the gated pool as we have a crawling baby and small children, and because of the ability to have the pool heated for a good price in comparison to others. Thanks for a good time!

Brianna,
We love hearing the house was a good fit for you and your group. We would happily host you on your next stay in Havasu
WE HAD A GREAT TIME FISHING FOR 2 1/2 DAYS AND WHEN WE CAME BACK TO THE HOUSE WE HAD A BEER OR TWO FLOATING IN THE POOL TO COOL OFF
AND THEN WE BBQ A TRI TIP AND AFTER DINNER WE
WATCHED A MOVIE AND WENT TO BED. VERY RELAXING
This house was perfect for a trip with some friends. Mathew helped me with anything that I needed throughout my stay. The pool heater didn’t work properly for our trip and I communicated that to Mathew and was very understanding of the situation. Very clean and organized house that was stocked well with things we might need. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

I recommend this property for anyone planning on staying in Havasu. The house was clean and cutely decorated! I had some issues with getting in the house, but Matthew responded right away and helped me out. The house was well stocked with everything you would need in a kitchen, from a toaster to coffee pot!! Our kids enjoyed the back patio, there was plenty of space for them to get some energy out.

Not that clean
It was OK from the outside too far south for us. On the inside it was just the top layer that was somewhat clean. I like to cook in the kitchen. A lot of the dishes and utensils were rusty, crusty food, stuck to it and greasy I had to clean only what I needed to use, the icemaker was not working it was frozen jammed shut was not the best we did not get to use the pool could not figure out what light switches, went to . was not easy to navigate. sorry I was not impressed. Food was stuck to the dishes and crumbs in the pantry coffee cups were stuck together Did not enjoy that part . But thank you for letting us have our dogs there.. nothing was really marked in the shower stall light switches on usage. Probably will not stay there again.

We appreciate all kinds of feedback, whether positive or negative. However, I'm a bit surprised to see the negative review as we were never informed of any issues with cleanliness or problems with the light switches. We have never received any complaints about these issues from any of our previous guests. During your 14-night stay, it would have been helpful if you had reached out to us for assistance. We would have been more than happy to address any concerns you had, including fixing the freezer. I don't like to respond in this manner as it is important to base our responses on facts. Our average occupancy rate of 73%, 4.6-star rating as a Premier Host on this site, and Super Host status on another site with a perfect 5-star rating, along with the positive reviews from our previous guests, speak volumes about the quality of our property and our services.

Don't stay here in the winter if you want a heated pool!
Pool was advertised as a heated pool however the heater is too small and not capable of heating the pool in the winter. Prior to our arrival, we communicated numerous times very clearly that we needed the pool heated and even paid the extra heating charges prior to arrival. When we arrived the pool was frigid (70F) and the heater was not even on. After 3 days of excuses from the owner he finally said the heater would require service and would not be serviced during the time we rented the house and paid for it. The whole point of leaving Canada was to spend the week outside swimming in a heated pool and relaxing in a warm outdoor place together as a family. We emailed with the owner to once again explain we needed a heated pool and to tell him we had no other option but to search for another VRBO house that has a pool capable of being heated. The owner did not care and said the rest of the house is functioning so no refund would be given. To salvage our vacation, we decided to rent a 2nd house so that we could have a heated pool. (The 2nd house had the proper size heater and we spent the rest of our vacation enjoying it immensely.) So we are out a lot of money! We paid for the house. We paid the extra pool heating charges and nothing was refunded. Plus we had to pay for a 2nd house. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT A HEATED POOL IN THE WINTER. THE POOL HEATER IS NOT CAPABLE OF HEATING THE POOL TO THE STANDARD TEMPERATURE FOR POOL HEAT (78ºF to 82ºF).

We welcome all reviews good or bad. There was a lot of exaggerations in Carla’s review and I think anyone can see that based off our prior reviews.
We did have the heater going and it was set at 75 degrees, when the guest requested a higher temperature we turned it up. They still said it was too cold but our app was advising otherwise. I advised I would have to send a pool tech to look into this as we are being shown something different and since they were unhappy I offered a refund for the pool heater fee. This wasn’t 3 days of excuses as mentioned by her. Carla never responded to my message and next day sent a message that she had left the property and would not be returning. We turned the heater off and the next day our cleaner checked the pool after they left and it was still warm, so again not matching up to her issues. I would like to clarify the pool heater is the appropriate size for the pool and this hasn’t been an issue in the past. We hold are a premier host status here and super host on other sites, unfortunately we can’t help random and off color reviews like this.
