This charming, cabin-inspired haven is perfect for coming together and relaxing, especially if you're in the mood for sitting around the firepit. The flagstone patio might be your favorite place to be - though there's also always room around the indoor gas fireplace. So many comfortable spaces fill this home, with so many spots for everyone to settle in together. Take in gorgeous lake and mountain views from the living room's window seat. The nearby full kitchen is outfitted for any chef, featuring a special coffee station, a double oven, and a prep island that doubles as a table for casual meals. The lounge on the lowest floor is the perfect place for a game night, and the second full kitchen downstairs will keep snacks and beverages coming all night. The luxuries keep coming inside the bedrooms, where guests can enjoy curated decor and comfortable beds. The main bedroom of the home includes a personal library available for guest use, in addition to an ensuite bathroom featuring both a stone standalone shower and a soaking tub. Absolutely loved our stay here! Such great gathering areas inside and outside of the home. The location was superb. We loved walking the trails around the lake as well as just enjoying the gorgeous view. This stay was a sibling gathering, something we’ve done for many years in different locations. Everyone agreed this was our favorite stay to date.

Dahlia grove winter retreat

This was a perfect day for our retreat. Dahlia Grove is a nonprofit seeking to employee survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and addiction, and this was the perfect place and the perfect weather and the perfect weekend.

House and location wonderful. On arrival it took us over an hour to get electronic door lock to unlock. My call to Vacasa for assistance was useless. The rug under dining table is a trip hazard. We love house and location and plan to stay again next year. Thank you.

Bishops Retreat

This was our second visit and we enjoyed the beautiful house and setting. However, as we are 4 older ladies in our 70’s we have decided to stay elsewhere next year because of the steep slope of the driveway. We had trouble being able to get up the driveway after pleasant walks around the lake.

Modern Tranquility with Amazing Lake and Mountain Views

Bishops retreat offers a large rental home that has very nice and amenities, luxury kitchen and baths, and, picturesque relaxing areas both inside and out. Very clean and well appointed vacation residence. Feels like you are enjoying a vacation in your “own” lakeside vacation lodge….and, in fact you are!!!

Loved our Third stay at Bishop’s Retreat. Comfortable Home with all you need to accommodate a big Family. Nothing can match sitting on the porch taking in the views and sounds of Lake Junaluska. The best house on the lake!
