House was centrally located but secluded enough that we were in a very tranquil spot. Fantastic views and comfortable beds. Large house with plenty of spaces to cook, eat and relax (including table tennis). Host included nice touches like coffee and tea. We stayed for skiing and enjoyed the wonderful views of snow covered mountains but summers would be spectacular with the oversized deck.
The house is a great size for a big group. It was convenient to get to Stowe to explore the town and to get to the mountain for skiing. We also did a day at Smuggler's Notch which was about a hour away. The only thing to note is that the road to the house is a bit steep and not really paved so it was a bit tricky to get up it in the snowy conditions, but was manageable with our AWD SUVs.
This property was described and depicted exactly as is. We couldn't be more please with any aspect of this vacation stay. The owner was very responsive and quickly answered all of my questions and requests. The home was perfect for our 4 adult couples and it was convenient to all the attractions we planned to visit. The bedrooms were ideally situated and the kitchen, dining and living areas and exterior decks were perfect for gathering and fun. What a value! Can't wait to come back!
Jenny’s house is beautiful. Definitely the cleanest rental I have ever stayed at (seriously, it’s spotless) and the pictures do not do it justice. The property is very private, up a hill in a dirt road with beautiful mountain views. The space is nicely furnished, bedding and mattresses were super comfortable, and the house was well-heated in very cold weather. In addition to everything else, the house was very well stocked with towels, plates, etc for our group of 10. Will definitely stay here again if we’re in the Stowe area (short drive to Stowe ski resort)
Our adult "children" arrived ahead of us and we were welcomed to a house full of fresh flowers for my 60th birthday (Shaws provided he most spectacular blooms!)Had a great time together with family-it had been very long time since we had the chance to all be together. Skiers and non-skiers alike enjoyed the house, the amazing views and the coziness of a long winter weekend in Vermont. ProPig was a great dinner out to celebrate our 24 year old's birthday on Sunday and cakes from the Red Poppy were beyond compare. Plenty of snow, plenty of activities, plenty of space-we have already reserved again for same time next year. Hosts were helpful and easy going and we all look forward to next winter for our repeat retreat!!! ~Kerry, Angelo, Denise, Jerry, Peter, Michael, Abby, Nolan, Maya, Shayna & Sam

About the host
Hosted by Jenny
We are a nuclear family + father-in-law that relocated to Vermont during the pandemic. We love the state and believe in its future. We decided to buy a rental property that we would want to live in, and that is precisely what this house is. We set up the house to cater to the types of gatherings we ourselves have: plenty of beds, plenty of social spaces, kid friendly, fully stocked kitchen that will permit any cooking/baking projects you could imagine, etc.
