This eclectic caboose tiny home is a one-of-a-kind handcrafted space filled with personality, artistic details, and funky design, paired with spa amenities including a year-round outdoor hot tub and an elevated treehouse barrel sauna.
Handmade in Vermont by Guest Tiny Homes, the caboose is designed to feel playful, cozy, and unforgettable. The tiny home includes a private bathroom with hot shower and toilet, a comfortable sleeping area, and efficient use of space that keeps the experience cozy without sacrificing comfort. The shared spa amenities are a highlight of the stay. Relax in the outdoor hot tub under the stars or unwind in the treehouse barrel sauna after a day of exploring. Both are open year-round and professionally maintained. Guests also have access to campfire areas, walking paths, and EV charging stations.
The location is ideal for exploring northern Vermont. Historic Johnson village is five minutes away for dining and essentials. Stowe Mountain Resort is about 30 minutes away, Smugglers’ Notch Resort is about 20 minutes away, and Jay Peak Resort is under an hour. The nearby Lamoille Valley Rail Trail offers excellent biking, walking, and snowmobiling. The area is known for craft breweries, farm stands, maple sugar shacks, fall foliage, and four-season outdoor adventure.
Parking is available directly at the unit, with additional parking and EV charging in the upper lot. Guests share some amenities with other unique rentals on the property, creating a relaxed boutique retreat atmosphere while preserving privacy and space.
This caboose tiny home is ideal for travelers looking for a memorable, creative getaway near Stowe — a stay that feels fun, distinctive, and deeply connected to Vermont craftsmanship and nature.
We look forward to hosting you.

About the host
Your host
We’re Vermont-based hosts who love creating unique places for people to unplug, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. Our properties are designed to be memorable stays — cozy, thoughtfully built, and connected to nature — whether you’re visiting for adventure, relaxation, or a little of both. We enjoy hiking, skiing, traveling, and discovering special places ourselves, and we try to bring that same sense of care and attention to every guest experience. Our goal is simple: provide clean, comfortable, one-of-a-kind spaces and be responsive, friendly hosts so you can focus on enjoying your trip.
Why they chose this property
We chose this spot because it captures some of the best parts of northern Vermont in one place — mountain views, river access, and easy proximity to Stowe and the Green Mountains. The area feels peaceful and tucked into nature, yet it’s just a short drive to great hiking, skiing, local breweries, and the small-town charm of Johnson village. What we love most is how the neighborhood balances quiet seclusion with adventure: you can spend the day exploring trails or the mountains and come back to relax by the river under the stars. It’s a perfect home base for experiencing Vermont year-round.
What makes this property unique
This stay is truly one of a kind. Guests sleep in an eclectic caboose tiny home handcrafted in Vermont by Guest Tiny Homes, filled with funky design, artistic details, and creative decor that you won’t find in a typical vacation rental. The space feels playful, cozy, and memorable, designed as an experience as much as a place to stay.
The property adds a spa-like element with a year-round outdoor hot tub and an elevated treehouse barrel sauna, set on a private 14-acre retreat with river access, swimming holes, and a scenic waterfall. It combines distinctive craftsmanship, immersive nature, and unique amenities in a way that makes the stay feel special from the moment you arrive.
