About this property

Agnes' House: Historic Downtown Cottage

Stay in the historic Southside district of downtown Flagstaff. It's a great central location for walking in the heart of the city.

The house was built in Flagstaff in the early 1900s, and we've maintained the historic details that give Flagstaff its local flavor. From the hardwood floors to the claw-foot tub, each part of the two-bed one-bath home shows our guests the original Flagstaff.

We love Flagstaff and look forward to sharing it with you.

Great Southside Location
This house is extremely close to to coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and anything you would think to want to do. It was extremely easy to check in to. The house itself is very old. It was clean and simple - but nothing fancy. There was access to Netflix - but no cable TV. Very minimal, antique kitchen (so wouldn't recommend for someone who wants to cook in the home). For a simple place to rest, sleep, and then leave again - the place worked! We have a small dog that we walked around the neighborhood, and downtown constantly. It's great that pets are allowed since we had our small dog with us. We would have loved access to a fenced yard - even if it were small. But the backyard attached to this house is part of the house behind it - with no access allowed from this house. Otherwise, everything was great and we would come again. Thank you, for a nice stay in downtown Flagstaff!

Awesome home and great location!
You could not find a cooler place to stay in Flagstaff! The energy in the house is warm and inviting, filled with love and tons of good energy! You'll find everything you need here even if you're not looking for it. Their are tons of places to explore within walking distance, plenty of restaurants, shops and novelties to occupy any interests and downtown is only a ten minute walk. Our family found this house and her owners to be above and beyond anything we could have expected!

Great Location and Adorable House
We loved this house! The only issue was that the Keurig refused to make coffee.

Overnight Stay
Excellent property! Clean, well taken care of, and in a great location. Close to food, nightlife, and within walking distance to all of it. It was the perfect place for me, my husband, and a friend to stay while in town for a baby shower/mini college friends reunion. Check in was super easy and check out was even easier. Will be staying here every time I come to Flag if possible.

Historic accommodations in a perfect location
Spent 3 nights at Agnes' House over the weekend and we really enjoyed our stay. The furnishings were comfortable and we kept commenting on how conveniently located it is to numerous bars and restaurants in the downtown area. Off street parking was a nice feature as well! Will definitely consider staying again if we ever happen to find ourselves in the Flagstaff area.

I am a Flagstaff Native, wife, and mother. I also founded and manage the Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival, the only professional theatre company in Flagstaff.

Why they chose this property

In 2015, this house was slated for demolition, but I talked the developers into letting me move it down the street to its current location. I then spent 2yrs painstakingly restoring the home. It's called "Agnes' House" because my babysitter, Agnes, lived there and took care of me there.

What makes this property unique

Walking distance to everything! Lots of historic charm. Free off-street parking in downtown Flagstaff.
