Welcome to Superbia! This is our real family home in a working-class neighborhood — cozy, lived-in, & full of personality. It’s not fancy, but it’s full of heart. We’ve put a lot of love into making this space fun & comfortable for you. Enjoy a 77” OLED TV w/ surround sound, a large backyard w/ a hot tub, BBQ, fire pit, outdoor dining, & cozy lighting. Private gated parking included (2 cars). We work hard to make your stay great & truly appreciate guests who are easygoing & respectful in return. We’re not a company. This is our real family home—cozy, lived-in, and full of love. We’ve renovated it ourselves and tried to make it welcoming, functional, and fun—but it’s not a luxury resort or a showroom. We put a lot of care into making it welcoming and well-equipped for guests. It’s a down-to-earth spot in a working-class neighborhood, ~8 minutes from downtown San Diego!

Inside you’ll find a clean, comfortable 3 bed, 2 bath home with modern updates and a few quirks like any real house. The living room has comfy furniture and a 77” OLED TV with full surround sound—great for winding down after a day exploring.

You’ll have the whole home and yard to yourselves (there’s just a storage shed in the back that we use). The front and backyard both have turf instead of real grass—it’s easy to care for and keeps things clean.

Outside is where this place really shines: the backyard has a hot tub, gas fire pit, outdoor dining, lounge seating, and gated parking for two cars. There’s ambient lighting and built-in speakers for evenings under the stars.

We have exterior security cameras, including one that covers the spa area—they’re not monitored live, just there for safety and peace of mind.

This is not a baby-proofed home. If you’re bringing a little one who’s crawling, please bring a play mat or blanket—we do our best to keep things clean, but it’s not a sterile hotel.

We’re so proud of our home—it’s not perfect, but it’s special to us, and we love sharing it with guests who are kind, respectful, and okay with a few real-life imperfections. No parties or events are allowed—we appreciate guests who treat it with care.

We had a group of 6 in SD for the Rock n Roll Marathon and staying here was such a value and great experience. Jodie has the best communication of any host I’ve interacted with along with clean instructions/directions. The property is clean and well maintained and a short drive away from many features of SD. It fit 6 people no problem and the Hot Tub was a life saver after running our races.

Jodie’s home was amazing—easily one of the cleanest and most comfortable stays I’ve had. We loved BBQing and relaxing in the backyard.I traveled with my 10-month-old and really appreciated the thoughtful setup, especially the extra pillows that made co-sleeping feel safe and comfortable, plus the high chair was super helpful.Great location for walks and naps on the go. Jodie was also very responsive and helpful with recommendations for food and shopping nearby. We wish we could’ve stayed longer!

The “working class neighborhood” was trying to hide the fact that the house is in the ghetto. I’m pretty sure there is a chop shop next door. The only other problem was the ant infestation. Yes it says specifically on the listing that the owner has pest control, but it also try’s to hide the fact that there are ants in every room of the house. The house is very beautiful inside and out. And it’s a good thing there is a place to park in the back yard, because there is no driveway or parking in front. There is a two story apartment complex directly behind the house in the alley way, that looks directly into the backyard and can see people in the hot tub or hanging out around the fire if you care about privacy. The two sides of the house have pretty good privacy. All in all we probably wouldn’t use it again. But if the ant infestation was fixed it would be considered.

We’re sorry to hear you felt this way, although your review is surprising to us. During your stay, you never contacted us to report ants or any other issue. If you had, we would have immediately sent our pest control company or maintenance team. Our professional cleaning crew photographs the home before and after every stay, and no ant activity was documented before OR after your stay. The neighborhood is a residential community occupied primarily by families. We are not aware of any “chop shop” nearby, and we believe that description is inaccurate. Likewise, the backyard is enclosed with privacy fencing, tall hedges providing additional natural privacy and the hot tub is tucked away, not openly visible as described. This isn’t a corporate vacation rental. It’s our family’s home, and we genuinely love it. We care deeply about our guests and work hard to provide a clean, comfortable place to stay. That’s why this review was especially hurtful to read, as it does not reflect the home or the experience provided. We do not welcome you back.

The house was clean, the neighborhood is ok, the house is very clean to the down town, the only thing is that there is a step in one of the bedrooms and even tho they have sign about it you will stumbled on it all the time also the shower in the master bedroom is super slippery so if there is something on the ground that would be great. Overal cure place to stay. I recommend it

House was awesome. Backyard was great for chilling.Parking was a little tricky since we had 2 larger cars, a challenger and a 4x4 tacoma, but we made it work! So smaller cars will definitely have space.Was quiet and family oriented area. Groceries were a bit of a drive since you are in an establish small neighborhood and the graveyard takes up a lot of realestate. There was a small liquor/general store with some basics about an 8 minute walk away which was nice.The pillows were a little uncomfortable for side sleepers so I would suggest bringing your own if you need any special neck support, but that is a personal issue. The bed and rooms were great besides that!Hot tub was a great place to unwind at the end of the day. It wasnt set at 95 when we got there, like stated in our trip info, and it took a few hours to get up to temp but after that it was amazing. Host was very responsive and friendly!Would book again!

The house itself was very clean, comfortable, and exactly as pictured. The host was accommodating, responsive, and easy to work with, which I really appreciated. However, I do feel it’s important to mention that the neighborhood didn’t feel very safe and was not what I expected. It was within walking distance of a cemetery, and I wish the listing had been more upfront about the surrounding area. Overall, the stay inside the home was great, but the location was not ideal.

Great home

We had a great stay at the house! We loved the proximity to the zoo and Coronado Island. The neighborhood was overall very quiet. Our 2 year old loved the yard and we loved that it was fenced in so he was safe to run around. The house was very clean and comfortable, and we were all shocked with the care and the extras (like the tv and surround sound) that were put into the house.
