**Our Land:**
Our property spans vast, remote acreage with countless outdoor spaces to explore. Here, you’ll experience holistic and healthy living. Trade winds bless our North Shore location, making air-conditioning unnecessary. Our well provides pure, alkaline water from a volcanic aquifer, and we offer fresh organic produce, eggs, fruits, and coconut kefir to enhance your well-being.
Operated by our family and community, we warmly welcome our guests at check-in, guide them around the property, and share the principles of regenerative living. It’s an honor to share this place with responsible travelers like you, who support the local community and respect the island’s fragile environment.
**Where You’ll Be Staying:**
Nestled on the second floor of Opua House, the Indian Room offers a cozy retreat with breathtaking views of the ocean, Haleakalā Crater, and our lush gardens. This serene space is tastefully decorated with treasures from India and Tibet, featuring black bamboo flooring that enhances its Asian-inspired zen vibe.
The room’s deep bordeaux color, reminiscent of monk robes, creates a tranquil atmosphere. Above the bamboo-framed bed hangs a Kala chakra mandala, and a small prayer altar adds to the room’s peaceful ambiance.
The private bathroom, located downstairs, is a true delight. It features a teak wood vanity with a marble sink and a skylight that floods the space with natural light. The bathroom’s focal point is a stunning mermaid mural by a renowned Maui artist.
During your stay, you’ll have access to Opua House’s amenities, including a spacious kitchen, comfortable living room, outdoor seating areas, and a sunroom that connects you with nature while keeping you sheltered.
Whether seeking a serene getaway or a productive work-from-paradise experience, the Indian Room at Opua House offers pure natural bliss and an unforgettable stay.
**Explore Our Property:**
Our eco-friendly buildings are adorned with spiritual art and hand-crafted masterpieces from the Pacific and Asia. Surrounded by a lush jungle, flower gardens, fruit trees, and an easily accessible waterfall that flows into natural swimming pools, our land is perfect for wandering and meditation.
For the adventurous, our ocean trail is a moderately challenging cliff trail that takes about half an hour to reach the ocean. You’ll enjoy the wild beauty of untouched Maui, with opportunities to spot dolphins, turtles, and even whales during the winter.
**Additional Experiences:**
- **Yoga & Meditation:** Start your day with an exclusive yoga session surrounded by nature.
- **Micro Weddings & Elopements:** Celebrate love with an intimate ceremony infused with Hawaiian spirit, officiated by Kutira, a licensed officiant with over 30 years of experience.
At Maui Eco Retreat, you’ll enjoy direct access to the ocean, beautiful hiking trails, waterfall lagoons, and romantic settings—all just 15 minutes from town.
**Our Location:**
Located on Maui’s North Shore, you’ll experience the island’s most exquisite sunrises over the ocean. While you can enjoy off-grid living here, we are just 40 minutes from Kahului Airport and 30 minutes from Paia, an iconic beach town known for its restaurants, boutiques, and sandy beaches. As the gateway to the Road to Hana, our location offers an authentic Hawaiian experience, free from the pressures of mass tourism.
**Accommodation Details:**
The Indian Room accommodates two people. If you’re traveling with others, explore our additional beautiful listings.
Enjoy the convenience of high-speed fiber-optic internet during your stay.
Late Arrival: There is an additional charge for late arrivals. We prefer check-ins between 3 pm and 6 pm. Thank you for understanding.
