Dear Guests,

VRBO listing # 4347143 VRBO listing # 4441163
Unwind in our charming 600 sq ft studio on a tranquil 12-acre organic hobby fruit farm. Enjoy stunning views, privacy, and easy access to nearby beaches, dining, and the airport. Ideal for couples, solo travelers, business professionals, and families seeking a cozy and peaceful getaway.
Our clean, well-maintained studio features brick and stucco walls, tile floors, and high-beam ceilings. Open the sliding doors to step into our expansive grounds, where nature thrives. On the ocean side, a 50-acre forest provides seclusion, while a seasonal stream flows through a gulch from Haleakala to the ocean near Jaws, one of the world’s premier surfing spots. Neighboring properties are equally tranquil, and quiet East Kuiaha Road ensures peace.
Note: We embrace wildlife and insects as vital to our ecosystem. While we strive to keep them out of the studio, you may encounter geckos or other critters. We minimize their presence in the studio but cannot eliminate them entirely. For a manicured, pest-controlled environment, consider a South Shore resort.
The Neighborhood
Despite its secluded setting, Mana Aina is just a 6-minute drive from excellent restaurants and grocery stores. Don’t miss Ahonui Plant-Based Cafe’s food truck at 111 Stable Road, Paia.

We decided to stay here as it was closer to the start of the road to Hana and to Haleakala compared to other stays and resorts and it was a great choice. Very clear instructions, great kitchen & appliances options for those who'd want to use it, and we loved the overall ambiance of the place. Partner is already talking about returning for another trip in the future.
The setting was incredibly peaceful and pleasant, with a friendly host. We didn’t bother with the AC, opting instead for the sounds of birds and soft rain. The accommodations were perfect for us, with a functional kitchen and comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom.
We loved our stay on this gorgeous property. Our stay was filled with birdsong and the view of green lush forest. The unit was super comfortable and well equipped. It’s an artistic feeling design.
Alejandro's place was just as it was listed, and really away from the hustle and bustle. It was very peaceful and my kids really enjoyed exploring the property. Only thing that you need to be prepared to drive 15 mins to nearby town for all the needs.
This property is perfectly located close to Haiku, Paia and the start of the Road to Hāna. Easy drive from here to Haleakalā as well. Property was very safe, including an electric gate. Owner was friendly and helpful and there were no noise concerns with neighbours in the other units.
Parking was ample and access was 24/7. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a stay on Maui that is affordable and close to all the major amenities and many attractions.
The apartment is big. Bed is comfortable. The shower need definitely a deep cleaning or a renovation. There was mold in each corner.
The kitchen is small and is the home of ant’s, for us it was not really comfortable to cook.

Aloha Dear Guest!
I'm delighted to hear that Fabian found the apartment spacious and the bed comfortable.
I wholeheartedly agree with your observation about the caulking around the bathtub, and we have plans to address it this week or the next. I've also inspected other areas in the bathroom, and they seem to be fine at the moment. Given Haiku's humid climate, it's essential to keep an eye on these issues periodically. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
I understand Fabian's concerns about the kitchen size and occasional ant visits. As I mentioned in my listings, we live in a natural, wild environment, and sharing the property with wildlife and insects is part of the experience. For a more pristine environment, I recommend the large and luxurious hotels in Wailea, where they not only fumigate their buildings but also their landscapes.
Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions or need further assistance during your stay.
Warm regards,
Alejandro
This is a wonderfully quiet and tranquil place. Our studio had wide windows
opening onto a large meadow that sloped down to lemon trees and a backdrop of
woodland. At night, we stepped out onto the patio to enjoy the vast night sky. It is
truly a place to escape and find peace.
This is far enough from the town without being difficult to get to, tucked away in
the lush green Haiku area of East Maui, quiet yet within easy reach of beaches and
small pretty towns where we found some great restaurants. It’s a great starting
point for the road trip to Hana and a visit to the summit at Haleakala.
Peaceful and well-kept property in a rural agricultural area of Maui, convenient to explore the Road to Hana and Haleakala National Park. The studio was comfortable and clean with a well-equipped kitchen and spacious bathroom. The California King bed was firm and very comfortable. The Starlink wifi worked well for our wfh needs. The studio is located 0.2 miles from entrance to the property, which is where the trash bin is located to discard trash before check out.
NOTE: This is a gated property, and at the time of our trip the gate code was not listed under check-in instructions (it was under driving directions instead). Make sure you screenshot the code before your trip, since cell reception is very poor and you might find yourself parked at the gate without a way to get in.
We just spent a week at this property- the description and pictures posted here are exactly what we experienced. The studio is bright and airy with lots of windows and great access to the outdoors, and provided everything we needed. We particularly appreciated the comfort of the king size bed - as we get older we find that having a good night's sleep is very important and we enjoyed 7 great nights! Never underestimate the value of a great mattress :). After spending the previous week in Kihei and West Maui, we really appreciated the serenity and the natural beauty of this property, and the opportunity to just relax in beautiful surroundings. This is a great base to explore the North Shore, the Upcountry, Haleakala and Hana - and experience Maui at its best. But you are still only a 45 minutes drive to Kihei and Wailea and 75 minutes from the beaches at Ka'anapali and Kapalua . Alejandro and his family were wonderful hosts - close at hand and responsive if needed, but never intrusive. We would return to this property again.

Some will enjoy it. Isolated.
Place is clean and open and airy... Read "amenities" closely since you may be surprised about what is and is not provided. Internet is from the Jurassic era and incredibly slow. It says TV but you need to read closely and notice that on the next line it says DVD player....there is no "real" TV with on-air and/or cable/dish, etc. It is on a nicely kept "farm" with a few fruit trees that have no fruit most of the year. It is VERY REMOTE so if you like solitude and having to drive everywhere this is for you. Bed is incredibly hard, which some will like but others.... The price is fairly low for Maui, so I guess you get what you pay for. And, oh yes, bring any toiletries you may need beyond a single roll of toilet paper and some paper towels.

Dear Keith and Guests,
I’m so glad you found our place clean and open, the price was one of the lowest you were able to find, and that our property was well kept. Also, thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience, since it presents us with a great opportunity to look further into improving our guests' experience.
I'm sorry Keith that we did not meet your expectations, but if you ever decide to stay at our place again we won't charge you for your first night neither for the cleaning fee. We look forward to welcoming you again during the summer season, when most of our fruit trees are generally blooming with produce.
Also, I only wish I would have known while you were here of your other needs, I would happily have provided you with a thicker mattress topper to make your stay feel more comfortable and at home. Please know that we find challenging to satisfy everyone's bed needs simultaneously, so we opted for a medium soft bed. As for the toiletries, to ensure a pleasant and enjoyable stay, please pay closer attention to our listing so you are expecting what is listed & described there.
Please note that our studio offers TV/VCR/DVD plus movie library as we include on our site. Since from your feedback we are now looking at adding satellite Dish/TV + faster internet. Regarding internet speed, unfortunately the whole island's internet is connected to the same internet source, so when Maui’s lodging occupancy rate is over 96% as it was during your stay in February, the internet speed decreases dramatically everywhere; including at our farm. I’m sure this will be improved over time.
For our future guests, we are happy to have created a prime environment at our property that helps disconnect from busy lives, is peaceful & quiet, and is 10 to 15 minutes away from touristy areas.
Thank you!
Alejandro.
The property was beautiful, very well maintained, and plenty of space. Check in and out was super easy, and communication was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.
This is our third time staying on this beautiful property. It really suits us, as we like a quiet environment with alot of natural beauty. It's necessary to have a rental car as it isn't walking distance to any towns, but that was fine with us. Almost everything that we wanted to do was 5 or 10 minutes away. The studios are all really nice and well equipped. Any time there was an issue, Alejandro and his lovely family were quick to respond. I would definitely recommend this property!
This property is stunning. A very peaceful stay in a great location. Close enough to still enjoy the Kihei beaches. The studio was bigger than I pictured and the photos don’t do it justice. High ceilings, well equipped with everything I needed. I’d stay here again!
After previously staying on the Kaanapali Coast, this VRBO was much more the local flavor experience we prefer. Our studio VRBO was very nice, comfortable, had everything we needed as well as a beautiful view! We will definitely book here again!
Very serene and yet close to the volcano and beaches. Highly recommend. Just going entering the driveway was an. Experience to be remembered. We would come back for sure.
Most relaxing vacation ever. 12 acres of remote jungle but only minutes away from everything one needs. Alejandro, his family and their sweet dog Romeo a delight. Already planning a return visit. You will enjoy.
The studio was an excellent find. It had everything we needed and the arrangement of the kitchen, living, dining, sleeping areas is such that it hardly feels like a studio at all--very cool! It was very comfortable and well appointed, very clean and tidy. The overall property is great for wandering around and admiring--lots of greenery to explore! Alejandro was also very attentive and accessible, and his dog Romeo is incredibly loving and peaceful. We also enjoyed seeing his art on the walls. Mahalo!
Great place, very peaceful, we enjoyed this unique experience in Maui
