Excellent cabin in beautiful surroundings. The kids play / game room was super great and entertained the kids for hours. The cabin is located close to many attractions and nice dining options. The kitchen is fine for cooking dinner as well.

Cute A-frame house in a more rural part of Abingdon, VA. There were more houses around than from pictures just FYI. We came as a base for a few things: Virginia Creeper Trail, star gazing (was cloudy but we did see some stars!), Grayson Highlands park to see ponies, some lake adventures (Hungry Mother state park). We visited the historic downtown about 20 minutes away. We enjoyed also just hanging out in the house. The place was cozy and just so cute with a relaxing setting. We honestly didn't use the swing or slide much but it was an attractive feature when we booked. Kids loved the foosball table and having a tv with internet. We enjoyed eating on the deck and watching the plentiful deer.It would be cooler if there was a more direct path to the river. I would say the things to do list needs to be updated (the list had some places that were closed) and some of the pans might need updating. These are minor things and no reason not to stay! The owner responded quickly to messages prior to our visit and during the visit we didn't have any issues.

We had a great time here. It’s close to Abingdon, Damascus, and the Creeper Trail. My wife went down and had a wonderful time kayaking on the water with her kayak. The kitchen had everything we needed and the Blackstone was a hit with the kids for multiple meals. Looking forward to returning!

We came to Abingdon to ride the Creeper Trail, however it rained most of the trip. On the plus side, we had booked this adorable, well-appointed cabin! Lots of games, cozy indoor spaces and beautiful views. A true getaway with a very responsive host, you will be delighted.
